Anyone else experiencing periods of just absolutely unplayable lag? Here is the timeline from last night...

I reset/turned off everything I could possibly think of around 9pm when I hopped on. Played 2 games of OTP to test the connection out - no problems whatsoever. I quit out of the second OTP game at 10:02, hopped into LOUNGES, LG game starts 10:05 - SKIP LAG ALL FUCKING GAME (on our own host, with someone who we use every game he's in cause he's always at the top of the list, so I don't think it's the host). What sense does this make? I doubt my internet just died in that 3 minute timeframe. Is it just LOUNGES possibly? Devin had the same lag I did actually for the 10pm game, then he went to play an IUOXGTACODNBAFIFAHL game at 10:30 in SKILL LEVEL (didn't even realize that was a thing) and he said it was perfectly fine. Then we were both good for our 11pm game. I know Nuge said his 10pm game was dog shit and his 11pm was fine also, so I just wanted to see if this was still a problem for some people.

 

I usually clear my cache before lg, opened mostly everything on my router, and went wireless and it's playable.

The other day I switched servers mid game somehow. No idea how but I did. I started on east was playing smooth quit out in the second because I started to skip lag and checked to see what server I was on and apparently midgame I moved to Europe.

Last month or so the lag has been really bad for me as well. I suspect they have shut servers down because the connections have gotten worse over time. I also notice a huge lag difference between play at 10(usually bad) and 11(much better). I guess thats all the kids going to bed?

In fact, back when the game came out and we were all on Europe servers, the connections were much better.

 

It's to the point where I'm seriously considering stepping down because right now I'm no help to the team.

It makes no sense at all that at 10pm my Internet goes to shit,but 30min later it's perfectly fine and I didn't even touch it. I would be fine if it was heavy/ or even the occasional skip here and there. But when it feels like you are constantly in a time warp it's frustrating. I know a few other people are experiencing this as well. So don't mean to complain but if someone could help me out and tell me what they did to fix it.
also I tried the cache thing did not work.

 

To fix mine it was easy. Step 1. Unplug all cords from Xbox. Step 2. Get a screwdriver Step 3. Throw your Xbox out of a window.(Has to be a 20 foot drop or more to work) Step 4. Put screwdriver away

 

every game played has 2+ players who are useless due to lag at this point. I have a robot voice 75% of the time personally. It wont change, battle through it or quit cuz its 50% or more of the league at this point. Accept the fact thats what lobby's will be til 16 and hopefully stops next gen.

Also, I suggest manually setting your xbox's DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (google public DNS) and ensuring that your console is classified as DMZ by your router (guarantees ports will be forwarded 100% - PM me if you want me to walk you through this it can be tricky). If you still lag after that then it is 100% not on you, or Lord Devin.

Our game with COL last night was unreal...........they obviously had a better connection, and did that voodoo where they just skate aimlessly into you but keep the puck and score.

I was pissed, it was 3-0, then we scored 5 out of the next 6 goals to win it on rammer-esque goals.

Fuck this game.

 

Also my 11PM game "was fine" because Briere refused to manage his team and took a forfeit.

 

I feel like it's NHL entirely. From the moment I get on the game I lag. Throw in any other game besides NHL, my connections perfectly fine

 

@BeastModeCowb0y and @Th3 l AnD 0n1y get a fucking room or get the fuck out s, back to what the threads about the lag in this game is horrifying at times during LG games and makes playing absolutely no fun and it doesn't matter at all if you're the home team or not.

I think its just EA servers there has been a couple times where its really bad lag and it only seems to be on NHL. LC
