Courses this Week: Primary: Magnolia National, Georgia (MAJOR - 4 different pins/tees) Secondary: Eagleton Bend HDCP Restricted Course: Briar Hill Instructions: You'll find the regular two courses in Play > Play Tour > Search LT > Look for LT S3 W4 To find the HDCP Restricted course (For people with a TGC Handicap lower than a +5.0 Rating), go to Play > Play Tournament > Search LT > Look for LT S3 W4 HDCP IMPORTANT: For those guys who have an interest in playing the restricted course, you can play it at ANY TIME during the week. You can play it first before the regular tournaments, if you wish. It's a separate event. Just be sure when you post your scores here, that you put it in the proper leaderboard. Both my round 4 at Magnolia and round 1 at Eagleton didn't post last night for some reason. Both times, I got the message saying it had posted but looking today, there's nothing there. Kind of annoying to now have to play an extra round at a course I hate (Magnolia) just to get those scores again. Minor stuff, I know, more of an FYI.
If HB doesn't fix the left Analog stick on XBOX, I may not even get to play this week. I had planned on playing tonight, but not sure I'll be able to.
Major has been ruined for me after the Xbox update, I'm not a left stick swinger but constant 95% swing has ruined my 4th round, came up short on the 9th because of this and made an 11 (yes eleven). So angry right now lol. Managed to get home in par but Xbox be warned!
Ok I didn't know if I was just bad (usually the case) or if the 95% blues were coming back to haunt me again
Messed up the last round at Magnolia with a miserable 4u, was even thru 13 so had to birdie 4 of the last 5 to get that and didn't birdie any of the par 5s the whole round. Just really patchy at the mo, 13u then 4u. Incomprehensible. :!:
Speaking of messing up. I hit the flagstick on 7 (or was it 8), and the ball stayed on the green, but rolled 55 feet away. My first putt from there rolled back down to where I was. Triple bogey. Add one more double bogey in a chip that looked good until the ball kept rolling....rolling...rolling.... I could've been closer to the 1st round highs. ARGH!!!!
Hit the flagstick! Gutting, it never stays anywhere near. Anyone able to go round Magnolia and not have a catastrophe or two is doing well. This course just bites when you least expect. I was 4u thru 3, 2nd round and made bogey 3 of the next 4 and didn't do that much wrong. Good luck with the rest of your rounds Commish and well played ijs1543.
Is the wind equalisation for tournaments working yet? Did everyone get up to 16mph wind at Eagleton 1st round? Also Commish is there any word on LT getting the API that TGCT have? So many questions!!!
My understanding is they're waiting on the fix for XBox on the left stick issue, then they'll turn it on. My assumptive guess is they'll switch the tourney wind on this weekend (Sunday). I'm just assuming that because it's the most opportune time to do before TGCT is officially in its next week (minus the impatient ones who play once its available). Just a hunch. And in Round 2, no flagsticks hit, smarter course management, and a happier 66 result. I won't contend at all, but I enjoy the challenge of Magnolia (Augusta).
Makes me feel great about my 13u. Eagleton was playing tough and I wondered. No news then on the API? Two more 66s will get you pretty close to top 10 so good luck. Also blueorfe, there's loads of guys who would love their form to be in your toilet :grin:. Good luck at Eagleton.
You have got to laugh really. :grin: I played RGT in April and shot -28 with all aids off. I play here with all the help on and shoot -28. This is how bad my form has been for the last few days, I don't know what it is? I just can't hit good shots and make putts at the moment. :!: Nice shooting Ian and Dylan. Now there's a couple of guys showing some good form. :grin:
Is Briar Hill two rounds or four? There is only room to post our first two rounds but the game has sent me to round 3 out of 4... thanks ramjr0116
There's only supposed to be two rounds. So don't play any further. I do love only being made aware of this on the last day of the event, though...
No problem...like you I only get to play so many holes at a time si many weeks I am finishing up the week at the last minute. I can always use it for practice!
