Hey guys,

Week 6 is now LIVE!

Courses this Week:

Primary: Barrhaven Black
Secondary: Zithobeni Golf Club
HDCP Restricted Course: Lakeview Village (Meadow/Mountain Course)

Instructions:

You'll find the regular two courses in Play > Play Tour > Search LT > Look for LT S3 W6

To find the HDCP Restricted course (For people with a TGC Handicap lower than a +5.0 Rating), go to Play > Play Tournament > Search LT > Look for LT S3 W6 HDCP

IMPORTANT: For those guys who have an interest in playing the restricted course, you can play it at ANY TIME during the week. You can play it first before the regular tournaments, if you wish. It's a separate event. Just be sure when you post your scores here, that you put it in the proper leaderboard.

Deadline for Week 6: Sunday, August 2nd at 11:59 PM Eastern

IMPORTANT! Please note the presence of a countdown clock next to each tournament. It indicates how much time you have left to post scores.

Love that you waited until wind was resolved to throw up my Black course!!

I'm so excited to see how this all plays out.

 

I'm told by [MENTION=12180]Mr Tweek 1[/MENTION] that the wind is howling on the black course (on Xbox1 anyway).
This course shows it's teeth in the wind(my intention in it's design), due to it's narrowness. Hopefully it forces some creativity in shot making

Might be a long few rounds for us.

(Before you rip me about the course, play it with no wind...it really is a kitten! lol)

12mph Round 1 and just loaded up Round 2 to hit my first shot before saving and its 20mph.

Not enjoying the game after the tweeks that have been made in game and just seem to be going through the motions right now, finally getting bored of the game after a year I think. I'll suck it up and finish off the week though, maybe we'll get 7mph wind in R3......guess it can't be higher than 20 anyway :grin:

 

I am seeing these scores and looks like it is going to be tough. This was the 2nd tweak to the wind so I don't know if it will change again. I suppose I would have used a formula where it would be only 20MPH like 5% of the time and everything else less than 20MPH 95% maybe in 3-4 MPH increments (0-3 MPH/4-6MPH etc). The PGA event on TGC Tours also had 20MPH in round 1.

The best case I always thought was to have the tournament creator set the wind.

 

At least it's consistent..I had 20 winds all thru round 2 and 17 on the first tee in round 3 before I said enough is enough...thks ph

After practicing all week, I just went 12 over on the first round of the restricted course. So bummed...

 

I shot +1 for Rd 1. It defaulted to disturbed, chrashbird and trowelhead. I think disturbed went in the water 4x and still shot E. Can't wait for Round 2!

 

I was -7 through the first 8 holes then thought I was on my game so I played extra aggressive... finished the round at -2 hahaha

 

Whoa Barrhaven. What an amazing course!!! Have just played 1st and what a challenge. I played well but need a lie down. Anyone getting through the back 9 level will be fine.

 

Catastrophic 2nd round including an 8 at the last. Ach well, keep on keeping on, still enjoyed the round and love knowing everyone will get THOSE winds. :grin:

 

This week is definitely a challenge. With a 20 MPH on the 2nd round, I was feeling good about being 4/5 over for almost the whole round. Well, until I managed to put up a 10 on the 18th. Great hole with lots of water carries and narrow landing areas. True challenge with 20MPH... I may be a masocist, but I liked the challenge this week.

I am personally glad the wind was fixed so its the same for everyone basically in all of the tournaments...

Final round is 13-15mph wins. Managed -2 woohoo. +10 for the event, would have been alright had I not had a +7 in R1. Well done that man who shot under par for the event

 

It may be unpopular but I am loving the high scores this week. It could have been a major this week with these scores! Bring it on!

 

For those looking for single digit winds this week, you wont be getting them on Zithobeni either. Sad news is in the two rounds the wind speeds were identical at 10-13mph. Only difference I noticed was the wind direction had changed about 90°

I think the reason I did poorly the first round of Barrhaven was because I had just come straight from playing the RGT event at Congressional where the green speeds were slower than death and I had been leaving everything 10 feet short. 1st round at Barrhaven I was ploughing everything 15 feet by. Figured it out the last 3 rounds.

 

Not unpopular at all. Just loads of fun.

 

So it IS the same wind for everyone...Good to know ya 21MPH !!!! NOT LOL!!!

 

Not sure what happened with the score input but after inputting rounds 1 and 2 last night, I went to put in 3 this evening and the site had my scores listed for rounds 2 and 4 instead. So, all 4 rounds are in there but in the wrong order.
