    Not referring to him specifically, but not being able to skate = never played hockey. Never played hockey = "Yep thats how it should be", when in reality its not very realistic at all.

    Its like asking me to sample two very similar cakes and expecting me to be able to help the chef fine tune the recipe. I've never baked, and I can do as much watching others bake as I want, but it isn't going to make me into the expert they need to give advice.

    That's a nice analogy, but it doesn't really address my question.

    I don't mean to nitpick too much, but you implied that it is somehow the fault of the GameChangers that there is "bad button and server lag". I'm pretty sure that would still be the case even if they'd flown in Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux for a week instead of Nuge and Tony Ferelli.

    I also think we'd be deluded to think that EA actually made any big design decisions based on input from the GameChangers (or whatever they're called).

    You are, of course, right to say that EA has no idea how to design a hockey experience that appeals to everyone. That's a pretty tall task with any piece of software or product in general. Everyone's tastes are different, can't please all the people all the time, etc. The network issues, however, are inexcusable.

    Except it's more like they flew you in for a game based on baking, and you'd been playing the baking game for 5 years. And they didn't fly you in to make the baking a more realistic experience, they flew you in because they had put out a bad baking game that the community didn't enjoy and they wanted input on how to make the experience more fun for their users.

    Then when the baking game got into the hands of players they were upset because you've never even used a rolling pin and they had. They may not be on CakeWars but they atleast knew the difference between leavened and unleavened bread.

    i have to play in chl bc i got new acc and lg acc even though ive played in VHL. If i could play with the big boys like we planned i would b4 this chl crap i would play this season @MCDONALD l19l aboutt he point people playing down in ahl the rule for new signups will cause ppl with ahl/nhl skill stucki n the chl just bc they r new but have played plenty other 6s leag . they should atleast be given a AHL chance or even if a owner wants him let him make the move . Just puts a damper on some talent for a whole season but other than that things r well good job :)

    I didn't sign up this season because there's too many nerds like @Chum lLee and @Buddy Roberts

    Jk, there's just better games for me to play right now than NHL... specifically NBA and soon to be Halo 5

    I have not signed up because I am not planning on playing this season.... I feel Break is needed, to much drama over the past few seasons so I need to clear my head... Good luck to all of you!

    That is all very true. We need to try and bring in some new talent and breath some new life into this League. We can't always have the expectations of the 09 crew who have been committed for so long to continue to carry the torch. It will be nice to see some new face make their CHL debut, dominate, then be the future NHL superstars.
    Seeing numbers north of 2500 for most seasons, the recruitment side of the coin seems to have slacked off. I know personal, I tried my best to send close 2000 xbox messages, but that was only too those members who have yet to sign up here.
    Having the strong social media team like have here (@F5 Penguin @Big Fifty) there is no reason we can't begin to reach out to EA's forums, and other hockey website that aren't direct competitors and try a

    I'll try my best to address your concerns. Welcome back first off, since you did say that you ere from VHL, and this community has major ties to VHL.

    Secondly the players status are being updated. Therefore it may not mean you will be required to play an entire season in the CHL.

    Prospect is the status we issue to all of our new members to the League. In order to be granted Amateur status, and the ability to move up, 15 or 18 games in the CHL are all that is required for a prospect to become an Amateur.

    Realistically three games a week is only an hour and half of your time. Do that for five or six weeks(7.5 or 9 hours) you are good to go for the AHL.

    The CHL isn't nearly as bad as you assume either. The issues we always had with the CHL is the lack of experienced managers, which has basically been addressed with 85% of the current CHL managers with two or more seasons experience. So yea, if you have NHL skill, you should rip up the CHL(good confidence booster, and who doesn't like being the super star). In my eyes the problem with the CHL isn't that the talent sucks, or the managers suck, its the players who are "too good" to put 7.5 to 9 hours of their time into the League and work their way up.
