League Protest

I'm generally a pretty quiet person when it comes to the LG forums, but this is just something that I couldn't let go. I absolutely cannot believe that my close friend @Colonel20 was banned over a simple troll message to an over aggressive and accusational CHL GM.

Its unbelievable how much time, between @Colonel and I, that we have sunk into this league since we have joined in CHL season 4. Who stepped up to offer AHL with media content when no one else gave a rats ass about the activity of our message boards? Yeah, @Colonel and I... and @SirMikeKnight

This is absurd and down right uncalled for. If this ruling stands, I will also be handing in my resignation as of today. These management jobs are thankless enough as it is, so if this is the way that things are going to have to be, then I want no part of it... and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm sure anyone who has had any dealings with @Colonel in the past knows that he would never personally attack anyone and it was obviously a troll.

So its about time to show some support for our falling comrade and #FreeColonel.

As AGM, I will also be resigning from this league. I came back to this league for this? Why the fuck do you think I became AGM for this team? Come on now guys, I think you can figure it out, this ban is a joke.

 

Yeah I'm completely against banning a GM for a troll message to a chl GM who didn't even read the rules, accused him of breaking rules and then he quits LG. Like really?? With all the trolling in the chat box and horrible shit that is said in forums and the chat, this gets someone banned??
Colonel has been a great management role model the past 4 seasons. Winning the memorial cup, president trophy in AHL and helping me turn around a disaster in the NHL as my agm. Yet your gonna ban him for 1 troll message?!? This is pathetic. This is why people don't wanna be management.

All I'm gonna say is post the messages you'll get support on the cause. You have to realize that one message, while you think it may be trolling, can be used out of context if handed in alone.

There's a difference between trolling in the chat box and a "troll message."

Alright. Thanks to the young @PahkTheCah1387 ive seen the messages, here is the verdict of your avenger.

1. Colonel was an idiot. Sorry not sorry, when you say you have league staff on payroll and stupid shit like that you're asking for issues. And he did break the rules, no questions asked and you have zero ground to stand on if you even try to say otherwise.

2. You only see half the story, which makes zero sense to me why they'd post colonels messages and not the other kids (@Tiddus..?) colonel could have easily been being provoked (which is what it looks like imo.) post the rest of the conversation for us, don't just show one side. Every ther major gaming thing shows both sides of a confrontation if it results in a ban or fine (League of legends, dota, HOTS, cod, Cs:go, literally all of them.) showing one side is completely unfair and results in shot being taken out of conquest.

3. Jumping right to a 2 season ban is stupid. His message. While demeaning, didn't accomplish anything except MAYBE hurt a kids feelings because he got called an idiot and burger flipper. Is this what we warrant as a bannable offense now? We had MLG-fuckboi do this for multiple seasons without a league official saying a word until he started doing it on multiple accounts. Especially in a season where you already have management dropping left and right, I've seen multiple other rules broken and worse shit done this season where the result was "hey please don't let it happen again."

Verdict: this was worthy of a warning, maybe a game or week suspension, not a 2 season ban. This is what I would like to call a case of a very itchy trigger finger. The fuck. #FreeColonel. Just an EXTREMELY terrible verdict reached here.

I'm usually one to side with the league, but in this case just a big wtf are you doing here boys. I could sit in the chat box for a night and see 25 worse things said. @MCDONALD l19l

I'm down to protest or strike or whatever cause this is just dumb this seasons already pretty messed up as is.

Sad to see, everyone please take the appropriate steps if you wish to pursue the freedom of Colonel.

All I really have to say is this. I've seen proven cheaters and league rats get a lesser punishment than what Colonel just received. Especially since Colonel has no previous strike on his record.

Managers are held to a higher standard, plain and simple. Those fortunate enough to receive a team should know better than to talk shit and troll people! You don't see me acting like that now do you?!

Of course you wish for the stats to be wiped noobinator, thats because by the end of week one your team was already eliminated from the playoffs. I'm not sure what a bigger upset would be, Holm knocking out Rousey or your team having a winning percentage above .200, Colonel although making a stupid mistake does more good to the league then harm. Where as you use to come out with your "Hilarious Jokes of the Night" which pretty much concluded of insults thrown at people's way. Perhaps you should bring that back for one night. 6 games in and you have yet to eclipse 2 points in a single game…Jokes on you.
