The original start date for the season was listed as Feb 12th. The reason being was follow, this timeline: NHL Bidding, Jan 29, 9 pm EST to Feb 1st 9 pm EST 24 hour window for positional change between NHL and AHL bidding. AHL Bidding, Feb 2, 9 PM EST to Feb 4th 9 pm EST 24 hour between AHL and NHL bidding for positional changes CHL bidding, Feb 5th, 9 pm est to Feb 8th, 9 pm EST AHL Training Camp random assignment. That time has been adjusted with some help from Tris to reflect something new: NHL Bidding, Jan 29, 9 pm EST to Feb 1st 9 pm EST 24 hour window for positional change between NHL and AHL bidding. AHL Bidding, Feb 2, 9 PM EST to Feb 4th 9 pm EST AHL Training Camp random assignment* 24 hour between AHL and NHL bidding for positional changes CHL bidding, Feb 6th, 9 pm est to Feb 8th, 9 pm EST The change is that once AHL bidding is completed, ALL Veteran and Amateur players whom were passed up in AHL bidding, PLUS all the prospects signed up about to ENTER the CHL bidding session will be randomly assigned their rights to the AHL Training Camps FIRST! This will ensure the AHL Training Camps are filled thereby allowing the season the begin a week earlier than scheduled. Once CHL bidding is completed, the contracts and salaries issued in CHL bidding will be synced to the contracts of those players listed in the AHL training camps. Things to consider! Call ups to the NHL or AHL from the AHL training camp will remain closed during week one(half way, depending when CHL bidding ends) until the contracts from CHL bidding are synced to those contracts listed on the AHL TC. Players WILL BE listed on an AHL roster AND STILL be taking part in CHL BIDDING!!! Players maybe required to ECU for the AHL or NHL WHILE CHL bidding is going on. The season begins a week early!!! Which means NHL players and teams do not need to sit ideal for ten days after NHL bidding, and AHL players do not need to sit ideal for seven days after bidding! Any questions feel free to post below! ** Currently looking to start the League a week earlier Feb 5th - Feb 9th ** With the 5th being the Super Bowl, there is a strong possibility those games will be rescheduled.
The only reference to the new start date is "a week earlier than scheduled" in a bullet point about the AHL TCs, should probably put FEB 5th!!!! somewhere just in case people don't bother reading the whole thing.
With the Super Bowl being the 5th, those games will more than likely be moved to later times that week. With that being said, there is no reason in starting the season later due one day.
Chl bidding will be the 5th and your season will start the 12th. If bidding gets done fast we can do some preseason games to
I suggest the season starts mon Feb 6th and just run 3 weeks of 10 games at end of season after trade deadline
Usually the final week is a 10 game week anyway I just figured do the reschedule the weeks before that to allow finalized rosters more games before playoffs
Just want to make sure we're clear -- there will be a window between AHL and CHL bidding during which we can bring our TC-assigned DPs up to the regular AHL/NHL rosters? @LG McDonald
So in the first week the ones going in Chloe will be assigned to Hal team but is possible to play in all game if needed
