Headset

Hey, guys, I am looking to buy a new headset, I loved the Astro a40 on my Xbox 360 but the wires was too much for me so I sold it once I got my ps4 and picked up a turtle beach headset. But now people are telling me that it sounds like my mic is in a wind storm sometimes? Could it be my controller?

Was looking for a wireless headset possibly, but don't want to spend a crazy amount of money right now. Would love the Astro a50's but that's too much $ at the moment for me. What do you guys use/recommend ?

 

get the a40s. I have em and love em. there pricey but damn they are good.

 

i never had a headset before LG other than the crappy thing ps4 comes with. I ended up getting the Sony Gold wireless headset and really like it.

 

Whatever you do, do NOT get the Sony Golds. They sound good, mic works good, they are very convenient however, these are the cheapest made biggest piles of shit as far as build quality goes. 7 months and they are literally falling apart. Nothing left but duct-tape and epoxy lol

 

I was looking at that one, its not too expensive and i like the idea of wireless and the charging won't bother me as i hardly play with my work schedule etc.

I would love to get them again

 

You play, it's just in order to be your friend you have to stay up stupid late to play some games with you

 

Maybe it just needs a windscreen, could be a very sensitive microphone, also try turning your input down a bit in the settings.

 

It's not all the time it's random. I've played around with the part that goes into the controller and it seems to be sensitive

 

Ibe had my Sony golds for almost a year now and no issues whatsoever. They are like the day I bought them. Working perfect still and no damage whatsoever. For the price etc I don't think you can go wrong

 

I have the Sony Gold as well, had it for nearly 2 years now and recently the wired connection stopped working however the wired still works fine. Also, if you have a large melon like myself try to avoid it as mine has started to crack on the outside and I'm just waiting for the day for it to snap off lol.

 

Hmm. Maybe like all things some bad some good. I just haven't had any issues with mine for a year. Still like new

 

Not the only guy in the Big Dome Gold Crew I see lol, mine's not as bad as this but it's noticeable.

 

Hardly. I wear a 6&7/8 fitted hat. Just shitty plastic. Maybe I got a bad one but if you search or read reviews, its very common.

If its a removeable microphone you can always replace it.

 

I have Turtle Beach Stealth 400's, And they're wireless and I love them. They're $80 opposed to $120 for PS Gold and the mic is detachable, which is nice.

 

I went to Walmart and paid 20$ for some headset that people say they have no problems hearing me, would recommend that over some 100$ mic

 

Mines the same as Austins, however its the Stealth 500p Turtle Beach, just as good if not better.
