Hey guys, I'm having issues with my ping since 1 week. When I do my ''detailed network statistics'' these are the results I get; (PS: yes, i'm wired) Download speed: 466.10 Upload speed: 56.00 Packet Loss: 0% Latency: 39 ms MTU: 1480 I've always had 12-13 ping (on eastern servers) before which was perfectly smooth to play with but since 1 week, it's stuck at 23 (on eastern servers) and I feel slow and heavy... This happens only in EASHL too! I don't have anymore solutions than to blame EA sports... For someone who plays a lot of NHL, there's a huge difference between 12 and 23, enough to make me play other games than NHL which was pretty much the only game I used to play.. Do you guys have any idea what the problem could be, or do any of you have any kind of similar problems since 1 week?
Besides the captain lag era I never had issues lagging out of games but every single game I've played in nhl 18 I've had speed lag and constantly lag out of games. I think that they need to tune down the crowd animation s and stop working on entrance props and fix/improve their servers.
Here is my rundown... I have 8 ping every single game, unless the game is on West, then my ping is 36. For all my games with 8 ping, some games are really good and some games are so horrifyingly terrible - it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. The only thing that does make sense is that the ping numbers mean absolutely nothing. I know multiple people who experience this as well, so its not just me... where their ping remains about the same for every game, yet some games are good and some games blow. When you put the game in, you never know if you're going to have a smooth connection or if you're going to be skating in dogshit. It's the just the same hot garbage year after year now, and with every new release a whole new list of problems arise that were never present in any of the previous games (stick lifts not working, goalies bunny-hopping uncontrollably up the ice, captain lag, having to play two full periods with the replay bar stuck on your screen, etc). Then when we get patches to fix these things that were never broken for the last 10 years, we're all supposed to thank EA for doing such a bang up job 69 that no one even remembers these things should have never made it into the game in the first place. My best advice is to play your 3 games a week of LG (which should take a maximum of 5 hours total, if you're lucky) and don't touch the game again until the following week. The NHL series has been a complete embarrassment since 'next gen' started a few years ago. If LG didn't exist, I 100% wouldn't own this game. If connection was never an issue, I could probably even tolerate the poor gameplay. But not being able to move most of the time in addition to the gameplay, just makes the game not fun whatsoever. Watching a team get out-TOA'd 28-6 in game 4 of the ESHL FINALS and them actually believing they could have won that game is sad on many levels. The saddest level being, they're right since it took 4 OTs for them to be put out of their misery. In years past, that game would have been a wrap halfway through the 1st period. 28-6!!!!!1!!!11!!!!! IN ONE GAME. THIS IS NEXT GEN CHEL.
The game is shit. Nothing will change. Nobody cares at EA. Our outcry for a great game is gone in exchange for Shitters in the forums getting what they want.
Why should EA care? 60% of the community are scumbags, 30% are dogsht morons n the other 10% just play to play and they still get our money each year so it doesn't matter
People think they will get sponsored when they spit in the camera or constantly rage on stream? No chance. The games been on a steady decline since 12 luckily for EA, LG has kept people interested in playing
my ping lately has been 20-30 and sometimes its good and sometimes its bad, most times when my ping is lowest its usually 14-18 and even then sometimes ive had 14 and feel like im skating in quicksand,personally i think the ping meter is prolly just another useless part of the game that doesnt work...
Ive had 27-30 ping for about 2 weeks now, i use to have 7-9 ping on east and 50+ on west connection. #Gamesux
For me. the ping has been consistently accurate for over a year, since it exists (10-12= amazingly fluid and over 20 it's terrible) but for an unknown reason, since november 20th, i'm stuck at 25-30 and yes, I only play my LG games from now on, which is sad...
SJU said it well. On east servers my ping is always a steady 3 and yet the game will still feel like absolute trash at times. It makes no sense.
Call your internet provider and told them its their fault. U might get a credit of 3$/month. X 12 it gives you 36$. Almost half the game for free every year. Plus if u find a real solution u gna keep the 36$. Amazing!
