The forward core is a combination of PSN talent and good forward depth. The pairings of Gladulov/Ethos and Dan/Sejje are going to fill the top two lines. HTH is also a fantastic player. Defensively NeNe is going to be expected to lead Chicago like he did LA years ago. Spezza is also 4-0 in ESHL and open division GOAT. Behind him is a mix of talented defensemen who can support the froward lineup. Grades: FWD (A-) DEF (A-) GOL (B+) Colorado Avalanche Forwards 1. D Jay ll (LW) V 3S 0R $1,250,000 2. The centers of Cj and McLxvinn are going to be a deadly duo with Nasher in support of one of them. Past that they are a bit weaker, especially at LW. D Jay is a good choice for a 2nd or 3rd line but they are going to have to pair him with first liners and expect him to hold up. Defensively they have an excellent top three. Ballistik ice is a good support player to fill out that top 4. Rex will do fine but the question will be if Bud can adjust to being a defender? Their contender hopes will improve if he does. EgoKiller is a solid starter and Back was the same over on playstation. Definitely an underrated duo. Grades: FWD (A-) DEF (A) GOL (B+) Dallas Stars Forwards 1. Schlemko x 17 O (LW) V 1S 0R $0 2. Waz hasn't played a full season for over a year now but is good when he does show up, Smirky is also a good pickup, but it is yet to be seen how he'll react to being a Star. Past that it is a mix of decent/cursed players. Defensively Dumba is really going to have to carry the RDs and it is unknown if he can do that. Rivit will do okay as well. Winston is surely excited to be back in a Dallas uniform and will once again be on his own several nights to try and win games. Grades: FWD (B) DEF (B-) GOL (B) Minnesota Wild Forwards 1. With so many expensive contracts at both forward and defense their depth is lacking as you'd expect. Devin, Mark, and Holtby are an amazing trio. Biznasty is also a fantastic pickup at 500k. They placed a large portion of their free cap space this season on two quality centers in SamDelisle and MasterAmerica who will have to carry a lot of the weight. Riven will be expected to continue his performance from last season on Chicago whilst Juney is getting another shot at the NHL after his poor performance in Dallas a few seasons back. Defensively they have a load of 2nd pair guys which is great but lacks any real stopping power against top forward lines. Anime connoisseur Bubba GX is hoping to keep up his offensive firepower this season after a career high 3 goals in Montreal. Bcripps will continue to be superb in net while Healey will be getting his first chance at the NHL level. Woahmack is a great choice in a league short on LWs. Duky at 2.5 is also a steal if he stays happy. MLGesus will likely score an obscene amount of goals again as well. Defensively they are giving Optic his shot to be the leader on defense for a team. Gazzerk is the likely choice for the top pair and well worth 2.25. The only gamble is Bake703 on defense. Being only 1m it's well worth taking a shot on him. Friks is the elite French goalie in LG and Loki isn't a known name but he will get his 3 games a week to try and make that name known. Bradley is excellent when he shows up and Booya on the opposite side makes a deadly 1-2 with Jared in the middle. Winnipeg also won out with their cheap forwards in Lyons and Stoner who are both talented. Ay Dindu Nuffin and Lingross will be a great top pair but a touch behind the very best out there. Eddiekog is a great trade acquisition to help with the 2nd pair who looked a bit weak before he got there. Bounce will have to repeat his success last season to justify his price while Kuch gets the callup after his spectacular 25-2-2 season in the AHL. Grades: FWD (A-) DEF (B+) GOL (B+) DIVISION PREDICTION This is likely going to be the tightest division overall and extremely difficult to judge before a game is played. Chicago, Minny, Colorado, and Winnipeg all have the ability to win this division. The three that don't are all going to be battling for the divisional seeds. Saint Louis, Nashville, and Dallas aren't bad teams either and but will have a steep hill to climb to get above and into a playoff spot. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
Great write-up @APsychicTaco always enjoy the read. Looking forward to finally being back on defense. #Chicago #OneGoal
Another great and informative write-up. Still learning a lot of the big names so these help a lot with familiarizing everything, especially with all the gamertag changes. Excited to see your thoughts on Pacific!
