LG Versus

Oh hi Trish,

Would be cool. I really don’t have any constructive ideas to how this league would function or anything related. I would like to mention a legitimate concern.

1v1 NHL is peer to peer. On rare circumstances EA will assign a dedicated host for/if another player is having issues connecting (ie Strict NAT, IPv6, or fuckall earthlink).

UNLESS this league can make some kind of arrangement with EA to have such games hosted on a dedicated platform (which is absolutely possible, and confirmed by EA’s very own Online Producer), then truly, the competitive matchmaking will be choked. Offline tourneys are great, because players can game on a single machine. No internet, no lag, no bs. Easy.

Reasons: Kids are willing to “IP boot” or ddos. Ask any player who spends a significant amount of money and time in Hockey Ultimate Team. Sure, it’s very hard to prove that the player is purposefully interfering or if Mommy is looking up a new recipe online and is causing the shitter’s router to go apeshit. Also, lag switching is a real issue as well. Since the games are P2P, you can easily learn how to throttle either your own connection or the opponents without any fucks-given. EA’s netcode for NHL 1v1 is such a fragile decade-old piece of shit, all of this is relevant.

 

If ran right it could be similar to the old GM connected mode just better because there is already so much communication on this LG platform. I dig it, anything that gives me more of an excuse to play some Chel

Single elimination but after the elimination drop down to a different B and C division (SEDMHA minor hockey style bracket) Makes for intense games but you can get back in to the winners bracket with a few wins

Just a side note, if you're looking to crunch numbers, not actually play, the PC has this hockey simulator for like twenty bucks, you can do 30 person online be a gm, there is no game play, all calculated and simd. But it's supposed to be very in depth, like you can go to an individual player and set his game style ... I never played it, heard good things, if that's what you are looking for .

I haven't played a single vs game on NHL since NHL14 since this game has been absolutely dreadful since then and I can't possibly play it more often then LG/Club games, but I would probably give this versus tourny a shot if it's best of 3 or single elimination. No game battle bullsh*t because myself (and I'm sure many others) won't be wanting to no life this shitty game especially with all of the potential problems that @HoT RiViT mentions.

Agreed but the NHL is sponsoring versus tournaments. Might be the best way to get LG on the map.

 

No. Who would wanna play more of this shit game? Not to mention versus is more aids than EASHL. It will be a tournament to see who can score the same goal more than the other person.

I miss The HUT league.. so if it was between vs or hut get the hut league back. But hey vs would be aight
