Recent club challenge connection issues - Report them here! Also a potential solution

I'm glad at least some of you are taking this opportunity to try and find solutions for the folks that are having this packet loss issue instead of trolling the thread.

I personally had unplayable lag last night during my 9pm game. 10pm was less noticable but still in the 40s ping range and 11pm was great - back to normal around 15.. It's a guess - but are the traffic increases at 9 possibly to blame? We have 3 "leagues" overlapping times around the 9pm time slot, with less overlap at the 10 range and even less at the 11. And that's just LG.

Just a thought. Seems LG game times are the only times 6s actually gets played on this game anymore, at least to the amount that would "strain" the servers in any way.

 

It's really cool when it says your ping is 15 but it feels like 400.

 

I experience the same issue as what Breaky is saying. My ping is 5, game feels like 400ping half the time. I mean the ping is pretty meaningless, as it's the speed to the server. The issue is how EA has their syncing interpreted, they have done a lot to not let players drop from games and lobbies. Their algorithms have slowed the game down even more, and the game is already too slow. The syncing issue also results in the "seamless puck pickups" and other great features. But this is nothing new, a heavy-handed band-aid on a networking issue from EA. Though it has been way worse the past 2 weeks, with some actual lag spikes instead of just slow and terrible sync.

 

All my lg games I’ve played have been through club challenge and I notice a yellow bar prior to the start of the game and I sit at average 72 ping and 8% packet loss for the games I’ve played this week. Miserable

 

Before an LG game last night, I noticed EA put me on the NA West (Recommended) servers, which is wrong and should be set on NA East. Exit game. Go to settings - Network Settings - Alternate Mac Address - Clear Address. Restart Console.

Problem solved. Put me back on NA East. LG game was smooth @ 3ms ping.

could go old school vhl and get pictures and manually upload the stats like we used to

 

i cant see the club challenge being on the same servers as drop-ins or club, ill go play club and my game will be super smooth then ill go to the club challenge and feel like i have a bus on my shoulders..maybe if we get on EA early enough with our game changers they can make a dedicated lobby for us? just have tris offer some of the ban funds and we could pay for our own dedicated servers lol..


hell id pay 150$ for nhl if they would use the xtra money to create a better game with better servers

 

Yep. Played the Wednesday 10pm and had yellow bars in the loading lobby, followed by 70+ in-game ping. Set my center with a faceoff grip and watch it not actually happen on screen until the puck is about to drop. The playing conditions are deplorable on a regular basis, but Wednesday night was fully unplayable. This shit needs to get fixed ASAP.

 

Never have connection issues. Played several club challenges on Wednesday 3/21 and had 70 ping and up for all players in the game including myself. Issue persisted from 7-10, by 10, the connection was fine.

 

I personally can see them on the same server. I agree with you to an extent though, the problem is you'll have a smooth experience in club and then the following game your guy will skate like he's trying to make his way through dogshit, it isn't really the difference between cc or random club, just genuinely the servers.
