What separates a Goalie from being good, to greatness?

Easy answer, playing in the NHL instead of the AHL.

A goalie who doesnt ever talk and keeps his mic on mute, is the best goalie any team can have behind them. Bonus points if the goalie doesnt want to be in the party during games

What about goalies constantly playing on opposite servers? East goalies playing West, West playing East.

I thought this was all goalies.

 

When you have that one week when your defense disappears and your style is all fucked up and you let in uncharacteristic goals. The time it takes to be able to bounce back and get back into your comfort zone is what separates the men from the boys goaltending wise. If it takes a day or a 2 weeks can decide your season.

Then beyond that you are fighting EAids everygame.

 

Learning that lesson this week...the crucial week before playoffs. Doesn't help in 1 of those games EA reset my settings too.

what separates good goalies from great goalies is the ability to save the aids bounces in front of the net that other goalies would just slide all over the place for

 

Reading plays, positioning, and consistency.

Being able to read plays will take away good scoring opportunities. Looking out for the dangerous players on the ice.

Good positioning will take away the snipes. Knowing when to play further out or closer to net so you can get to onetimers.

Being consistent. Always stopping the shots you should stop and being able to consistently stop the shots that should be goals.
