No, it’s a choice, no one has to use it. If a c wants to sacrifice another perk for it by all means have at it.

 

Fucking stupid. The last thinh this league needs is more regulations. No one on staff gets paid to deal with this bullshit, why make more work for yourselves. Just play the damn game.

Yes and no more wrap-arounds , LT moves and after poke checking you have to count to five in your head or out loud before you can poke check again.

 

This really says it all in favor of the face-off trait being removed. I'm also willing to bet that most votes against removing this trait are from people who don't play C, so they either don't care or prefer the advantage of having two useful traits instead of one.

Weird that I am agreeing with Carch on something, but it would be annoying to delay games for a stupid reason like this or to overturn games (or whatever the punishment would be for using it with a rule in place against it) over something so insignificant.

Maybe make it more of an "unwritten rule" amongst centers not to use the face-off trait to avoid potential issues, and still give people the freedom to use it for whatever reason they feel like using it?

An alert to the community saying "we discourage the use of this..." or asking managers to discourage their players from using this trait should get the job done. Just a thought.

Perhaps tell the centers to make 2 builds and ‘flash’ the other center like the old Smallies days when you would try to bait the other team into goalie

 

So you want to remove the trait, but you would tell all of your centers to use it? Sick logic right there.

Regardless, literally every center is going to be using this trait, unless there is a rule against using it. Centers shouldn't essentially be forced into using a trait that none of the other four positions would ever remotely consider using.

 

The idea that it's only relevant when two guys tie on the timing is a farce, anybody who has run into somebody using it when you don't have it on will tell you.

I voted to remove it because I'm selfish and don't want to feel obligated to put it on every time, the league would also need to institute a 2 minute delay of game penalty if a game had to be restarted specifically for this.

I think faceoffs should be decided by rock-paper-scissors. Best of 3.

 

i think you gotta leave it. typically what i (and most centers should do) is leave it on if the other person has it selected. more of a gentlemens agreement.

 

Im a Center and this topic is a joke, not because he have the skill mean he gonna win ALL the faceoff, just get better. In real life you can play vs someone who is SO MUCH better than you , thats how hockey is. The stupidest thing in this game is not this bonus is the ''TIE UP'' no one in real life do it and EVERYONE in nhl do it all the time because they are so bad. So if we need to remove something , remove the TIE UP

That people have to follow a rule? Is that really too difficult lol? All that has to be done is the management of your team alerting everyone not to use it. You have 5 build slots... figure it out. Stop being so pussetic about having to follow a rule that takes no effort to follow.

Its trash, it needs to go. As a competitive community we need to make sure that we do everything EA doesnt to balance the game. Stop the whiney comments about having to follow rules, theres damn near a thousand of them so whats your point?
