I am generally curious. Have these two patches improved NHL 19?

You can win all of your games and still not have fun doing it.

 

Good thing I didn't buy this game because I was betting EA would fuck it up like they always do. At this point ill be more surprised if they actually released a good product then a shitty product

 

Totally a great statement i agree the game is fine gameplay is too slow need to speed it up a tad

I just don't understand how you can create space from dmens. I feel like I'm back at 18 skating with no glide. The look of the skating looks better, but it's an illusion

 

I imagine the people complaining about the skating are the same people still trying to use grinder or a 6'2" TWF.

You can have speed but it comes at a cost, you're not going to be a big body that can bounce off hits/throw big hits while skating circles around people.

If you want to be a 5'9" dangler and burn by big defenders, the option is right there.


There are plenty of valid complaints about the game like the spamming of the stick lift, the little bumps are annoying as hell, and the "incidental contact" on sticks which I call auto pokes/stick checks make for a bunch of cluster fuck RNG situations. Complaining about the skating because you can no longer be a big hitting grinder that can turn on a dime every time you cross the blue line just makes the NHL community look unreasonable so I totally understand why EA ignores us.

 

Maybe that's why half the penalties are randomly on the bench instead

 

I tried 5'9 dangler tonight and I usually have 5'9 playmaker and I could literally do nothing, I striped big guy at the blue line just to have him pivot, catch me, bump me from behind and get the puck off me. I had absolutely no space. Plus there's pretty much no way to evade the dmen. I mean I was decent in 18, very decent pre-update, and now I feel like 18 but with no glide deke.

 

This game now is about cycling the puck more often and hitting the passing lanes

Wtf. How'd that happen? We've seen numerous times when we end up in a 3 on 3 scenario in 6s the game randomly benches 2 user players on one team. Glad I haven't seen that one yet.

 

This was a 3 on 3 OT game in HUT.

hut plays better after these 2 patches, so i would say yes.

 

It’s reverted back to 18 in regards to slowing down Which I absolutely hate. I personally like when it plays fast because it caters to my strengths. Slowing it down like this helps sub par players play slower which closes the gap a lot. They need to make the game faster! It’s way too slow... again. There’s a lot more half decent to good players out there so if the shitters don’t like it fast too bad. Play, practice and get good. Slowing it down like this makes the game less exciting. We want fast paced goals, quick hard hits, gotta think quick on your feet type of game. This game will be boring by thanksgiving at this pace if it’s not already getting there.
