EAST Pittsburgh Penguins Some of the top PSN players who have been on xbox a couple times decided to team up as free players and try their hand together as the first PSN mgmt duo to make the jump to xbox. They take over a PIT team which Mclovin was a part of last yr which had a disappointing season leading to one of the best Owners LG XBOX has ever seen in @brandovedo missing the playoffs for the first time in his career as an Owner (S19-S31) which featured 5 Cup Finals Appearances (S21/S24/S25/S26/S27) (NHL 15-NHL 17). His teams dominated NHL 16 and 17 winning 2 cups in 4 appearances and 1 cup appearance in NHL 15 which was foiled by the infamous Jay Rulez Summer Cup thanks to @BozWPG and @GreasyGogan scummiest summer trade in LG history. 13S as owner, 12 straight playoff appearances, 5 cup finals appearances and 2 cup wins, an unprecedented run. With all that said, the plan seemed to be Brando go to bidding and have him run the team as AGM as many of the top owners have been doing lately to save money on 2 Game 7 players or guys who would go 8M+ in bidding, however someone bid him up and overpaid for him at a price of 6.75M for him for some unknown reason and being the smart owner he was he said to let him go. This sort of fucked with their plans though as they wasted a couple days bidding on him and missed out on some guys so they had to deal with what was left. Possibly look for him to get traded there at some point in the season but with that contract it may be tough. Anyways, the Pens were still able to do a good job in bidding and with that mgmt. combo were projected to be on of the best teams in the EAST and making the Metro one of the hardest divs in the league with NYR PHI PIT as the top tier with CAR and NYI being right there as well. The Pens knew they were in for a tough go in this div and they started off slow going 4-4-1 in week 1. Mclovin and PTP went 2-0-1 in week 1 beating NYR and PHI and the 2nd and 3rd line each picked up 1 win. The Pens didn't make any moves after the first week and went into week 2 expecting better results but posting a 3-4-2 week and their top line going 0-3 but the other lines picking it up going 3-1-2 to somewhat salvage the week. It appears the team has gotten some pretty tough lines so far through 2 weeks and each of their lines has showed some promise. The team is right at 0 cap and not sure if they will look to make any big splashes via trades or stick it out and pull out these close Ws as each line has produced about the same. Runner-Up New York Islanders 8-8-2 18 Points (12th in the East) Week 1 4-5-0 Week 2 4-3-2 WEST Colorado Avalanche 7-10-1 15 Points Week 1 3-5-1 Week 2 4-5-0 The Avs practically ran away with the Central last season finishing the season with 115 points (19 more than the 2nd place DAL Stars) and made it all the way to the Western conference finals where they were eliminated by the Ducks. This off season was an interesting one for the Avs as they decided to break up their core and get rid of a lot of their good contracts. It left many scratching their heads. 98 lost his GM @Arctic Blur to ownership of NSH which is a tough blow and big shoes for anyone to fill. They were able to bring in former teammate @iTz x Luigi x who helped them land just 1 point short of a presidents trophy in S30. He is considered one of the top Dmen in the game by many with his success in LG and ESHL since joining LG just over a yr ago. Acquiring Luigi as GM was a good move as he probably would of went for 8M+ in bidding but for some reason the Avs against decided to make @jared2112 go into bidding AGAIN where he went for 9M last season after winning the HART and then 9.5M this season instead of trying 98 in bidding who many believe would go for cheaper and then slapping the AGM tag on 98 to run the team Next the team decided to move a lot of their core pieces and great contracts from last season in @P3k1ng DuK @trevwings for S33 draft picks, a real head scratcher. Next, they traded arguably their best line for most of the season and def the playoffs in @Lorenzo x 24 and @rG Breezyy who were on pretty good contracts as well, especially for a high end 2nd liner to MTL for @Groulxz and @Koho with a 1st. All 4 of these players are off to a HOT start Lorenzo (5-1) Breezy (5-1) Trevwings (6-0) and P3kingDuck (4-2) while the 2 new names they acquired to replace them @Koho (1-2-1) and @Groulxz (2-4-0) are off to a slow start. The Avs had a pretty good bidding winning some nice cheap contracts including former rocket winning @lxl MLGesus lxl (2-1-3) but shipping him off for exiled xboxer turned ps4 stud @Chipy_19 (1-3-1) before the season started. They were able to wi a good number of low end contracts in bidding but no real low end 1st liners or low end 2nd liners besides 1st liner Jared and goalie @shutthegate. The Avs are 13th place in the West sitting at record of 7-10-1 with 15Points. The Avs went 3-5-1 in week 1 with 5/6 losses by only 1 goal. Week 2 the Avs were able to scrape together a 4-5-0 record with 4/5 losses AGAIN by only 1 goal. The Avs also seem to be getting good lines as most top teams do early on but the need to find a way to win these 1 goal games or at least get them to OT to get a point in the standings. Look for the Avs to make some moves this weekend or next if things don't shape up. They have 2M in cap and a lot of of Draft Picks to work with but unfortunately they only have a number of mid level 2nd liners or high end 3rd liners to move. If theyre able to couple them with Draft Picks they may be able to get some good players in return. Runner Up San Jose Sharks 8-10-1 17Points (9th in the West) Week 1: 5-4-0 Week 2: 3-6-1
