Taking a look in at some VG stars, LG careers

1. @HAT_TRICK_LEGEND - One of the more succesful guys on this list in LG. Compiling a 26-16-9 record with 89 points over 2 seasons which would be 1.75 ppg . Compared to his VG points per game of 3.41 last season. Not playing in s10 but felt the need to include him.

2. @TMills61_ - 68-50-7 Career LG record. Is currently 6-5-1 with 23 points this season while on a 9m contract. Career 2.18 ppg in LG compared to 3.21 for VG.

3. @mattkiinnoo - Probably the most overrated VG player out there. 20-17-2 in LG with a mere 1.85 ppg. Compare this to his VG stats 297-86-26 with 3.57 ppg and something doesn't quite add up. He has long been suspected of having his stats boosted in VG as they don't require pictures or have API.... I'm going to go ahead and say guilty. Player is 7.75m this season... ouch.

4. @x-SCY-x - Career LG record of 50-33-9 with 1.86 ppg while being a 2.66 ppg player in VG.

5. @The-Statistician - Multiple Norris winner on VG and considered to be one of the top dmen every season. Career LG record of 42-50-7 with 62 points in 99 games. Not living up to his Norris caliber play on VG where he averages 1.27 ppg. He is also consistently the lowest paid player in LG on this list which gives him no real excuses. Averages between 3m-4m contract.

6. @BurnsForNorris - 118-38-10 Career VG Record while averaging 1.14 ppg. He is consistently one of the higher paid dmen in LG. This season however he took GM for Florida. LG career record of 72-67-15 with 108 points in 154 games. Not exactly the type of numbers you're looking for when you pay someone 6m and 7.5m over the last couple seasons.

7. @xTarasenko91_ - Not even going to mention any of his stats. If you don't know this guy is a beast already than you've been living under a rock. By far the most successful player who has come over from VG in recent history.

Man when will people get over statistics of this kind. There are all types of teams in this league and until the past 2 or 3 seasons the parody just wasn't there. Burns is an excellent defenseman and one of the best puck movers in the league. Unfortunately he's been on some pretty bonk teams. At any rate, appreciate the write up. Cheers.

When I came back from my 4 year break, I made NHL in LG before VG so I guess I'm more of an LG star

You are comparing a league that requires only 10 players per team and you can pretty much run the same line all season, VG has died out and will continue to do so. At one point VG was a competitive league, games were tight and guys were not putting up 300pts a season, now most owners there probably wouldn’t make the NHL here, there are a few good teams, the rest just get shit stomped night after night. It’s harder to have the same numbers here because you are not always playing with the same people.

 

Tagging people in a deliberately provocative post is probably going to upset those people. Cherrypicking a few guys seems like it's driven by some agenda, especially when you easily could've just aggregated VG numbers against LG anonymously to prove the exact same thing. In fact, that would've better illustrated the differential. You can't just declare something is for entertainment and friendly debate as a way to discredit a negative response, which you obviously anticipated given your silly disclaimer.
