Debate will NHL ever be good again?

The issues with this game are not that many at this point, I just want it to seem more realistic as far as getting shots off and defense. Right now I feel defensive players have too much leeway outside of the glitchier situations. A little seperation especially in vs not so much EASHL would be nice.

That's where I think the issue is the goalies aren't strong enough. Meaning that the defense has to be made way to viable. There are still glitchy times where the puck has no physics at all.

 

If I’m EANHL I’m starting from the ground up. Even the more casual guys think the game blows and honestly goalies are one of the larger issues.

We need a game that looks at least a bit flashier with its gameplay bc its stale as shit as it is right now.

 

Which I argue is because the defense is able to disrupt everything. In the NHL the time and space is generated because the defense has to spend time being percise with their edges so they get beat by speed that is non-existant to an extent in this game. Meaning it's most viable to just stand in the middle and force a pass or slide a pass cross crease instead of breaking in with speed and getting a good shot.

I got banned from the EA forums because I posted stuff similar to this. The game needs to play as two different beast. You should be a rock when stationary and flashier and intense with speed. So defense will be more predicated on positioning and good stick work as opposed to just standing in the forehand of the offense sense they can move quicker without the puck.

 

I also think they need to get rid of the pokecheck for a percision skill stick. Still have it as a mechanism of that skill stick though. Make defense skill based not the garbage just stand in the forehand it is now.

This is the best installment of the NHL franchise to date but people will not think that because it isnt perfect. No game is ever perfect. It will never happen. The only thing EA can do is be more consistent with updates for 19.
