As much as I'd love to vote for myself, Stif should win. Leading in goals and points generally locks it up.
Love Stif and we all know hes a good player but hate to see a guy make 30pts in the last week to win every trophy instead of playing biggies to give his team a chance with home ice in playoff.. but only an opinion. Stif is a solid player. He was like 15th in points before last week, only reason why i give my vote to Charyz who have been amazing every game with us and break 2 LG record.
Sure, those are valid points. He's not the first person who played dogshit ECU's the last week to stat pad and he certainly won't be the last. On him breaking records; I'm sure he's a really good goalie. But let's be honest, playing goalie has never been easier (except maybe NHL 13). Goalie stats are incredibly inflated in NHL 19, so him breaking a record doesn't hold much stock in my opinion. If you want to dive deeper into it: Charyzen (Montreal's starter) vs Wild Edits (Montreal's backup) SV%: Charyzen - 87.8% Wild Edits - 86.8% GAA: Charyzen - 1.53 Wild Edits - 1.56 Shutouts: Charyzen - 16 in 51 GP (31.37%) Wild Edits - 9 in 26 GP (34.62%) In my opinion, the stats show that your team as a whole played a great system limiting goals. This is NOT me trying to say Charyzen isn't a good goalie, I'm sure he is, I've never seen him play. But NHL 19 inflates goalie stats and it seems that playing on Montreal does the same.
Like i said everyone have an opinion, Stif is my 2nd choice after Charyz. We had a very good defensive team, you are right, but i think he deserve it.
Charyzen is sick but bounce did more for the rangers. He was the only consistent thing we had all season (and ferra) I know that isn’t what this award is about, just my two cents.
