Winners will be announced after the Calder. Congrats to all finalists, there was over 30 people who voted. Awards aren't east and takes a lot of time. There will always be Kinks. Thanks to everyone who helped out and thanks to Brodie also for giving me the opportunity to do this and try something different. ENJOY. Automatic Awards Richard F. Curious as to how @ChiToWnB3atD0wN isn't a finalist for the Eddie with 23 wins and the least give aways
Not really gonna comment on me not being left off cuz it was voted upon by a committee so clearly I was lacking somewhere. Would like to know where, but that’s not why I’m here. I’m here to make the case for my liney @Gumba l11l. I hope he wins an award I believe he truly does deserve. The other two candidates are excellent candidates and can have plenty of positives said about them as well, but I know for a fact that they cannot say they dealt with what he dealt with in GRG. Gumba tied his career high for wins (23) this season on a team where he played with 16 different forwards up top. That’s not a stat that’ll show up in your committee game notes but it should! I know the other two guys had some moving pieces for a bit possibly but they also had their rocks on their lines in Jared and Hinkie. Gumba didn’t have that luxury until week 7 lol. Availability was a constant issue in GRG and caused us to become realists and ultimately trade people away to look at next season. To be able to do what he did with a constantly changing cast of characters on a “top line” is pretty nuts. Not just roster players bouncing up and down either; we played some of the better lines with ECU forwards where we had no clue who they were. Guy never said a word, just put his hard hat on and went to work. I hope that his efforts and his consistency are ultimately recognized with the MVP. Has always been a pleasure playing with my friend and I know he won’t be in here making a case or saying a word one way or another (many of you know it’s hard enough to get him just to answer a PM lol), but I’m always grinding for my guys so I’ll go to bat for him. Side note. @PHJ314 I mean holy shit give the man the Playoff MVP, what a performance.
