Best and Worst Contracts(Bidding)

Media has been dead so here are my opinions of the best and worst contracts strictly from bidding!


Metro

Carolina Hurricanes

Best- @Ragey23 – RD – 6m

Ragey is a proven RD who can play in a top 4 role. He is a no attitude type of guy who just wants to win


Worst- @xKlinger – LD - 3m

I don’t think Klinger is a bad contract but Car just didn’t have many slots to fill and Klinger came in just a touch high. Regardless he will bring some stability to Carolinas back end



Columbus Blue Jackets

Best- @Jesus52 – G – 750k

In a bidding that saw backups going for 1m + Jesus at 750k is a very reasonable contract. I am not sure he is a true starter in the NHL but at 750k he can play on just about any team.

Worst- @Sitful – C – 13.25

Time and time again we see great players go for giant money and are expected to carry average players to greatness. Sit is one of the best players in the game but the cap could have been used better.


New Jersey Devils

Best – @Sbass19 - LW- 8.5

Coming off another Championship Bass went for nearly 4m less than last season and the cheapest he has gone in years. Great Player great contract

Worst – RGD – RD – 0

Dumb Shitter

New York Islanders

Best- @LADYxR3DxBUSH – RW- 1.5

Lady can add some great depth to the Islanders at a very reasonable contract. Great guy to have on your team.



Worst- @Sorokin x 90 – G – 2.5m

It kills me to put Sorokin on this list as a worst contract being one of the best goalies in the league but 2.5 is just way to much for a goalie.


New York Rangers

Best- @Luusky – LD- 3.75

Proven LD who can hold it down on the back end.

Worst – @Troak 25 –C- 9.5

Very good player not 9.5 good. He saw his price tag become inflated hanging on the board for to long.


Philadelphia Flyers

Best – @stammerchel l – LD – 3.5

Stammer is an extremely talented dman who people on the xbox side will become familiar with very soon. Claus with a great steal at a very reasonable price for his skill level.


Worst – @F0G 19 – LD – 7m

Why.


Pittsburgh Penguins

Best- @Ballistik ICE – C – 750k

Ballistik is a freak who should be much more expensive than he is.


Worst @Vcek – Rw – 3.25m

Very good player when he shows up. Will he show up?


Washington Capitals

Best- @iTub3 – G – 2m

Washington didn’t have many spots to fill in bidding with a strong offseason and getting one of the best goalies in bidding for 2m which is about his worth is a great add for Washington


Worst- @jyeti15s – C – 500k

Guy belongs in the CHL





Atlantic

Boston Bruins

Best- @Azkika – LD – 4.25

Mr 17.5 gets a price drop and comes in on a bargain of a contract. Should help Bostons back end tremendously

Worst – @ChinxRS - C – 3.75

Chin was hard to chose but he has always been a more Defensive Dman. I think he will have a very good season and I don’t think the contract is awful just a little expensive for a dman playing his 1st season on forward.


Buffalo Sabres

Best- @RoaringViper – C – 500k

If you guys think viper is a great goalie just wait until you see him at center!

Worst- @TheCheetahlo 33 – G – 2m

Fringe starter elite backup. Ill keep repeating myself goalie bidding was awful this season and 2m for cheetah is just to much.


Detroit Redwings

Best- @l S4K l - C – 2m

Could have easily went for 4+ but Detroit got him for a great price and locked him up longterm

Worst- @l GET BUSY l - LD – 3.75

Busy is on a very team friendly contract. I don’t have an issue with this one at all .


Florida Panthers

Best- @Kbsmith37 – LD- 4.5

If Kb is half the player he was a few seasons back a 4.5 cap hit for him is a monster steal

Worst- @Scumbag JRich – LW – 5m

Very skilled player who will generate points but 5m for him is way to much.


Montreal Canadiens

Best- @LEGAL x 76 – RD – 4.5

Great pickup by Montreal. He is a proven PSN guy who will really prove his worth on xbox this season

Worst- @Record l77l – C – 3.75

Record has been one of the best AHL players in recent memory but his inability to make a name for himself in the NHL makes me question his contract.


Ottawa Senators

Best- @DeLong x 22 – RW – 7m

One of the best RW’s in bidding and a 7m cap hit is more than fair for him

Worst - @LEG3NDz R41Nz – G – 2.5m

Legend is arguably one of the best goalies in the league but like most of the goalies who are on this list his skill doesn’t replicate his contract.


Tampa Bay Lightning

Best- @TheKingDaddyx – C – 500k

Had a great season being passed around to a few teams. Having him at 500k is a steal

Worst- @Shockz - LD - 9.5

Shockz is a great player but isnt 9.5 on D great.


Toronto Maple Leafs

Best- @Colonel20 – RD – 2m

When you can get a successful Owner for 2m that is a bargain.

Worst- @SweeT 9 LoU 84 – C – 8m

Lou is one of the better defensive centers in the game but his offensive production isn’t the greatest. One of the smartest players in the league and arguably his best attribute is his brain. I just don’t like the idea of 8m for a Defensive Center.










Central


Chicago Blackhawks

Best- @witttn – RD – 1m

Dualtz has proven he can play at every level and be an effective player. Chicago will be happy with him at 1m

Worst – @flyers2844 – C – 6.75

Stuck around bidding way to long and as a result had his price sky rocket. Good player bad contract


Colorado Avalanche

Best- @Tarasenko x91x – RW – 7m

Tarasenko might be one of the best RW’s in the league this season and if Col can get him a west host look for him to dominate

Worst- @Zaathal - LW – 3.5

Zaathal has had a few consecutive seasons of success in the AHL but 3.5 for him is way to much


Dallas Stars

Best-
@l T Nicholls l – RD- 1.5

He is back and if his past seasons are any indication on this seasons success Dallas has themselves a steal at 1.5

Worst-
@PlayboiPryme – RW – 500k

If pryme is committed this season having him at 500k can be quite a steal for Dallas.


Minnesota Wild

Best- @SuperiorJam995 – RW – 500k

Wags gets his boy at a 500k steal

Worst- @a1xFREAKx13 – C – 1m

Wags did a great job in bidding and im sure freak will be worth his contract. Coming off an abysmal season I expect for him to turn it around.


Nashville Predators

Best- @xL da king xL – RW – 3.25

King can be an extremely dynamic player and if he is happy and reliable there isn’t much that will slow him down. Great pickup

Worst- @JuniorHawk16 - LW – 500k

I think he is the only forward to play a full season and average less than a ppg.

St Louis Blues

Best- @x TERRY x 77 – LD 7m

Terry is a great addition to an already stacked team. They get a true game 7 LD to slot next to Ward for a very friendly price for what terry brings to the table.

Worst - @Chislett 19 – LD- 2m

Chislett at 2m isn’t awful but one of the better LG players over the last few season has seen his stock continue to plummet even after making the switch to LD. Maybe being reunited with his boy JJR will light the spark that has been missing


Winnipeg Jets

Best- @I-MT98-I - Rw -6m

This is a tough one because on PSN MT98 is a goal scoring machine but also a turnover machine in a less friendly game on xbox we will see if he translates. Id also give Bones an honorable mention here having him locked up under 7m longterm is an absolute bargain.

Worst- @jewbawkka -LD- 4.5m

Jewbawkka is a very solid LD and the price is fair for him WPG did a great job building a team but his real value is probably slightly cheaper. Not a bad contract but not a great on either.


Pacific


Anaheim Ducks

Best- @Professor_Merana – LD- 3m

Get to know this name because you will become very aggravated trying to bring the puck down the left side against the Professor. Great pickup

Worst- @Jemima – RW- 9.25

Jemima year in and out is always one of the best wingers in the league with that being said Anaheim was in a great position to spend some cap. Don’t hate the contract but I don’t love it with a few comparable Rw’s going slightly cheaper.

Arizona Coyotes

Best- @Ryanskov – LW – 1m

Ryanskov has been terrorizing the CHL like he once did the NHL seasons ago. Joining a great offensive unit in Arizona should be an ideal situation for him.

Worst – @AMalcs - LW – 4.25

Fox in his prime was worth well over his current contract. A switch to defense didn’t go well for him and he is back at LW. This contract can be a steal or a complete flop only time will tell.


Calgary Flames

Best- @CT 66 – RW – 6.25

Ct at 6.25 when most of the other Rw’s around his skill level were going 7+ you cant deny this being a great deal for Calgary.

Worst – @Scumbag Jared – C – 9.25

No explanation needed


Edmonton Oilers

Best – @Magneto98x – LW- 6.25

98 and Jared did the ol swaparoo and they ended up saving 3m in cap sending 98 to bidding. Great pickup

Worst- @ToppestOfTops – C – 6m

Double Brah has returned to Xbox after a mediocre season last time he played. I expect some great production from him but 6m is a little high. With the money saved on elite players in the draft and on 98 I don’t see an issue with slightly overpaying a few players


Los Angeles Kings

Best- @Capitalize x94 – C – 7m

If capi is committed he is one of the best forwards in the league.

Worst- @Pandaleupagus – RD – 4.25m

Washed and toxic. Enjoy the headache.


San Jose Sharks

Best- @x Fisher 81 – RD – 5.75

Fish is one of the best players in the league regardless of his position 5.75 is a very good deal as long as he plays the full season.

Worst – @Daddy Kaneee – RW – 5.5

Kanee is a very good player but another guy who hung around bidding to long.


Vancouver Canucks

Best- @Nuge – LD – 7m

Nuge went for less at his primary position than he did last season at LW. Great pick up and contract.

Worst- @iiNsAnE x w00dy – C – 6.75

2 season in a row woody gets bid up he is a very goo player but another player who had 2-3m added to his contract because they hung around the board to long.


Las Vegas Golden Knights

Best- @KingKonz- – G – 1.75

Easily a top 5 goalie in the league this season and at 1.75 it’s a steal when teams are paying backups 2m.

Worst- @KSKrish – LD – 1.25

KSkrish just needs to prove himself a little further he is a good player that needs to work a little on his game but not an awful contract. I know the easy bad contract would be saying Kush but he will be beating top lines by himself this season.
