Xbox is implementing a new GT system similar to Discord. You can now have the same tag as anyone and it will assign numbers after it and supposedly it was just show your name clean to your friends with # afterit. It still looks kind of dumb to be honest and I regret doing it so learn from me. Your suffix will show in games so everybody knows who is who. Also says this will take a while to fully update.
Yeah, the numbers don't look very good. If you're changing your tag, you probably want to try to find a unique one so you don't get the suffix.
