Weekly Power Rankings (Week 3)

Still going strong with another power rankings thread. Unsure how entertaining this is for you guys as you can basically just take a look at the standings - however I think it's pretty cool to have a quick way of viewing the progression from the previous weeks. In week 3, we have some interesting changes which can be seen below;

Most Noticeable Rise: Anaheim Ducks (+3) -- Last 10: 8-1-1

Freeze's teams always seem to impress when everyone doubts him. An 8-1-1 week in any circumstances is fantastic, which puts the Ducks into 1st in the Pacific. The Ducks defense is run by Coach, Cmike and Ryno, while also having powerful ECU help in Odie. The offense is lead by Tidan, whom has a 4-1 record with the ducks, while three of his W's came this week. This Anaheim team was rated extremely low in the first power rankings edition, so to see them at the top is pretty impressive. Good luck to them and it'll be exciting to see where they are sitting in Week 4.

Most Noticeable Fall: Detroit Red Wings (-2) -- Last 10: 3-5-2

With Tony, Shocks and LoL, would you believe this team went 3-5-2? Well I mean they're in 3rd in one of the tougher divisions in LG, so I wouldn't count them out just yet - however they had a pretty terrible week. Detroit had a lot of fans pre-season, but as stated in the first power rankings I did, I don't quite believe they're a top 3 team. They lack depth, but have a great first line. I had them ranked 5th in week one, and I still believe they'll finish around 4th-5th in the Atlantic Division.

 

I know I'm not the only one thinking it but this WILD brand is being disrespected way too much. We are a top 5 team in the LEAGUE not just our div. We have elite players such as @SMiiRK-_- @SeanieMack @Bunny_Pancakes @leafs1791 @ivegotyour6 So with these studs on our team we need to be ranked top 5 at least.

 

Not to mention the exceptional game 7 talent you are on the back end

 

I wish I was a game 7 dman. But hey, not all of us can have a career .500....some of us just aren't that elite.

 

This isn't "Power Rankings" this is legit the standings, which we can get under the standings tab...

 

You don’t read too much do you. It shows the change in position over the last week, the best team, and the worst team. Why would anyone want to see an imaginary version of what is actually going on. Also read the intro. Cheers!

 

@Miikeyx09 - boy why you talking about lacking depth when I still dont have a regulation loss on Detroit. Also you said we had a terrible weak when all but 1 loss for Detroit this season is by 1 goal. First part is more relevant than the 2nd though. At least pretend you're paying attention if you're going to do this. Out here acting like our depth is failing us lol.

Your team went 3-5-2? I’m talking about the overall team perspective... not about your individual week. I had Detroit ranked #5 at the beginning of the season and theyre slowly falling into that. You don’t have solid Defense on the back end other then Legal, and that’ll hurt your team. Its also a thread about the current standings - so the fact that you’re salty about it is why I rated your post dumb. I said some pretty shitty things about LAK before the season and they came out and won as a team. Do the same and you wouldn’t be mentioned in this thread.


Glex, Jets, Vikes, Jwilly, Brandon, and Rangu are depth players, no? Well they have a combined record of 12-12-9 with the majority of the losses coming this week. Stay salty my friend... PS. I barely even said anything bad about DET in this thread, so you need to chill :’)

 

I wasn't even mad tbh but depth usually implies 3rd line . I just wanted you to change it and make fun of our top 2 lines

 

Well hopefully you boys get some W’s and shit turns around so I don’t need to write about Detroit in that column ever again.
