LG Trend and Mental Health

Mental health is a serious issue I can agree. I deal with chronic pain and when my pain is really bad it obviously has an effect on me mentally as well. I have family member who have been drug addicts and/or have tried to commit suicide. It is an issue I do take seriously. That being said. If something as little as a few dumb ratings is going to have that big of an effect on anyone to make their mental health worse or push them over their edge they simply should not be on this site. They should just be gaming with their friends for fun not in a competitive environment and seek help from a mental health professional. This is a competitive gaming environment. It is never going to be completely a safe space. LG actually does a great job at handling things when people say things that take it to far. I get as much flack from people as almost anyone on the site. I have people make fun of the physical disability I am dealing with on almost a weekly basis. I haven't even reported those individuals. Why? Because I know by being on this site and sharing things about me like what I am dealing with right now I am opening myself up for the attacks whether they are right or wrong. It is just something I know I have to deal with. I laugh at the people that do it as all it shows me is the weakness inside of them. You you really need to chill this post is not accomplishing anything for mental health awareness. In fact I would say maybe it is painting a negative picture. So please just drop it and move on I think you are trying to do this for the right reason unlike some have suggested but it is not coming across that way.

 

After they went through all the trouble of going to all those posts too...should be flattered honestly.

Appreciate the candor freeze. Takes a big man to admit that stuff. All the best mate and if you ever want to talk In here for you. I myself dealt with chronic pain after my third knee surgery and it was absolute hell. Definitely brought me in to a depression after 9 months of being on crutches.

 

I personally wasn’t bothered by it. It said more about that person than me. But my concern is that sort of behaviour and others who followed by doing it could adversely affect someone else because if it was done to me I wouldnt be the only one it was done to. That was my intention w the thread. But I guess my delivery was poor.

@sobo18 harassed me for years...he would rate my tweets if he could. The worst part is, all I've ever done is strive to "get good" enough to earn his approval and lose those ratings. Ultimately, he's the main contributor to my departure from NHL if i'm being honest.

So I feel you.

As someone who has struggled with mental illness my entire life I am FUCKING DISGUSTED you would use my epic trolling of you as an example of propagating symptoms of mental illness. The more I read of your disgusting post the more I realized you don't give a FUCK about mental health. Your post was only a sorry ass attempt to gain positive upvotes as you can't stand to see your's so red.

You say you're a "healthcare professional and have frequently worked with those who have mental health issues" and that that makes your knowledge of mental health superior to the "average" person. The average person will struggle with their mental health and you being a nurse who does an initial screen or hands out pills in a fucking inpatient setting doesn't make you more knowledgeable lmfao. It's clear by your post that you know NOTHING about mental health and all you've done through this post is further stigmatize mental illness and those struggling by making us look like little fucking crybabies who can't handle real life. To add to that, there are a lot of people like that and they shouldn't be anywhere near a community such as this.
