Obviously throughout the last few days there have been some rumblings over wether or not the ESHL schedule was going to stay as is for NHL 20 or possibly be changed to Wednesday and Thursday. Personally I think it’s best to keep it where it was based on the fact that many of us ESHL players have work or school during the week and having Sunday games made it much easier to maneuver around availability. With it all but confirmed I wanted to see where your guys’ heads were at as far as what you think should be decided. This goes for ESHL players, so please leave a vote if you play ESHL and have any input to add, feel free to comment why it’s best one way or another. Cheers, -Doughty
If you want it back to back days, let's go Sunday/Monday. Sunday is easily the most available day. You don't go out because you are preparing for work or school on Monday.
I am assuming this is being discussed to avoid conflicts with lg. As a manager last season of a team with a lot of players in eshl, there was really no issue with the current schedule. As long as they continue to revise the lghl playoff schedule when Sunday conflicts with eshl, which they did a nice job with. Moving to Wednesday and Thursday could weaken the eshl player pool since Sunday is more open for availability. If anything, i wouldn’t mind seeing lghl move to Monday Tuesday and Wednesday, 3 games a night with the additional game in a 10 game week played on Sunday. If anything, lghl should be revised, it makes it easier for managers only having 3 nights. Plus having a larger roster size makes it easier to support any changes. Current schedule(s) are fine though. Lg managers are aware of the conflict and can plan accordingly. Maybe just plan out the calendar for playoffs more in advance than at the start of the lghl playoffs so no one can complain. Just my thoughts.
I love the idea of B2B days, just not having them both be weekdays. Much rather prefer Sun-Mon, feel like avail will be better.
So majority want Back to Back days. We should have another vote to determine if we would like Sun/Mon or Wed/Thurs
