Western Playoff Predictions (Central)

(#1 Central, 3rd west) Grand Rapid Griffins vs (#4 in central , 6th in West ) San Antonio Rampage

This will be a very interesting series coming around with Grand Rapid leading the league with the fewest goals against, the Rampage will seem to have a hard time scoring. This past week, we seen the Rampage have a rough week posting a 3-2-4 record meanwhile Grand rapid posted a great 6-2-1 week but unfortunately losing to there opponent in round 1, San Antonio 1-0 showing signs that even though the Rampage are the lower seed, they can contain Grand Rapids

What/who too look for in this series:

In this Series it will seem as if its going to be low scoring and basically down to the final minutes of a game every night with San Antonio off a week where they averaged only a 2.3 GF a game with a weak schedule, and with Grand Rapids only averaging a little bit higher at 2.5 GF a game. Look for low scoring games and great defense from both sides as they look too move to round two.

Grand Rapids Key Players this series:
@Im Tryggered (22-3-2) this guy is a force in front of the net with @WarWeazle15 (22-3-2) throwing turds for the deflection from the point in front of the goalies. Tryggered posted up some weird numbers with 44-16-60 Points for the season but this line will help Grand Rapids as they show a very defensive play style in which San Antonio will need to figure out how to break it. In the Pipes for them @GreatHAMbino67 (29-9-5 88.3 Sv % 14SO) shows that he is hard to get pucks by so this series will be tough for the forwards in San Antonio as they face probably the Bastien front runner in round 1.

San Antonio Key Players this series:
@jojodevil91 (18-6-1) has been a huge part of the success for this San Antonio team who seemed to have a rough second half but continues to produce wins when they need it the most. San Antonio has a very strong defensive core which may help this team sneak wins our vs Grand Rapids but @Dilly Cooks has played 8 playoff teams in the last 3 weeks posting a record of 5-1-2 with 2G,7A, and a +4 to help lead the rampage into the final spot in the central. This teams goaltending has been strong with @x Genesys Qc (24-10-4 85.3 SV% 2SO but only a 1.94 GAA) between the pipes it shows that he is very good at holding teams to a few goals even if he doesn't get those shutouts he will look to get those in this series.

Prediction: Grand Rapids win in 6!

(#2 in the Central, 4th in west) Manitoba Moose vs (#3 In Central, 5th in West) Iowa Wild

Here we are with the 2 guys we all are known for making a first round exit in the playoffs @Mxckie with his Iowa Wild team and then @Wickedly Moist with his Moose. Iowa has had a very good season overall minus a little stretch but they come into the playoffs with a 5-3-2 in here last 10 meanwhile Manitoba just capped a great 10 gm stretch posting a 9-0-1 record securing the number 2 spot and home ice for this matchup.

What/Who to look for in this Series

When you look at Manitoba, you will see a lot of scoring depth and solid Defense through there lineup and you can guarantee that Manitoba will come out shooting against Iowa as they were the leagues Second top scoring team in the regular season only behind Utica by only 6 goals and also noticeably ranked 10th in goals against. Iowa is ranked 5th in goals against but were ranked 12th in scoring making this series more favorable too the Moose.

Manitoba's Key Players this Series:
@QcKT Tsunami (18-6-3) Has had his best season of LG posting some great offensive numbers of (39G-47A-86pts +33) as one of Manitoba's leading scorers he will be looking to continue the success as he is is coming off a hot week. @GladiatorOnVHS (17-9-1) is having a great season for the Moose as he has 93 takeaways and only a -37 on the giveaway ratio which is helping this moose team get clear breakouts and produce the offense they are capable of doing. @TheGreech (26-9-2 82.7 sv% 3SO) Although he only has 3SO he has a Goals against average of 2.14 for the season and when your teams averaging over 3 goals a game theirs no way this goalie will lose, so Iowa will need to find a way to get by Greech and also stop there forwards from puck control or this series will be ugly.

Iowa Wild Key Players this Series:
@ThAtZ CyLvEr (19-4-0) although his offensive production is a little over 2 Points per game (25G-30A-55pts) he has been a very defensive center for the Wild posting a plus 26 which shows that even though hes not scoring as much as they want too, him and his line are causing nobody to score. @x88x Kane (21-4-1) has been the best defensive player for the wild posting 21 wins and a +41 so be on the lookout for Kane to stomp the Moose offense. @Tatar l21l (35-12-4 85.3 sv% 7SO) has been there goalie for well more then half the seasons games and has been nothing but outstanding for this Iowa Team posting a GAA of 1.9 in 51 Games is outrageous. Look for Iowas backend to help try getting passed Manitoba in the first round

Prediction: Manitoba wins in 7
