The Calder Memorial Trophy is an annual award received by "the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of full competition in the LGHL." The award is named after Frank Calder, the first president of the National Hockey League. The voting for this award is conducted in many different ways, but the community vote does play a role in who is determined to be the winner of the award. That being said, I encourage you all to vote. This season of LG, season 33, we have some very respectable finalists. In seasons past, this trophy has been awarded to some very "elite" players.
