TED LINDSAY AWARD Previous Winners - *I didn't run awards before S25 and in the AWARDS section (which is fucked up and needs re-organized and is missing a lot of stuff @Tris10 there are only 5 TED LINDSAY winners (s27/s28/s29/s30/s31/s32) and 4 PLAYER OF THE YR winners (s26/s25/s17) which im assuming is the same thing bc the HART and ART ROSS are there for every season s32 - @Stifmeister x 7 s31 - @Dingssss s30 - @Gilleh s29 - @Stoner x 95 s28 - @Odieeeeee s27 - @Odieeeeee s26 - @NYR95 s25 - @Stifmeister x 7 s24 - s23 - s22 - s21 - s20 - s19 - s18 - S17 - @NeNe The Ted Lindsay Award, is awarded annually to the National Hockey League's most outstanding player in the regular season as judged by the members of the LGHL XBOX COMMUNITY How do you guys want us to do this? As of right now, we have the community vote on it as we do the other awards. It has worked pretty well for the most part. However, there has been a lot of talk and debate about what THE MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER in the regular season means. - Do we want this voted based on who had the best STATISTICAL season over? - Do we want this voted on by who played the toughest competition and had the most successful season? - Do we want this voted on as who was the MOST IMPORTANT TO THEIR TEAMS success this season? - Best player on lines ONLY as finalists - COMMUNITYS opinion of who is the best player for the entire season just based on opinion after a set of criteria are met (HOW WE DO IT NOW) - Do we want to allow the WHOLE COMMUNITY to vote, any league gamer XBOX or PSN or XBOX LGHL/AHL/CHL or STRICTLY XBOX LGHL only *Please help us out and comment below and select options above Thanks
imo if you base it off of who had the best pure statistical season then there really isnt much difference between the Hart and the Lindsay. You could just do a pure LGHL community vote for the single most individually talented player and not even take stats into account, but theres a whole other set of problems in that
The HART hasn't been based off the best statistical season in like 5 seasons, its been off of value to the team, which is why the last couple the TED LINDSAY was based off of strictly stats but voted on by the community fully
It’s not black and white. I do feel however that the 4 first options play hand in hand. The winner of this award should have a lot of points (not necessary the most/best points), ideally vs good and elite lines (doesn’t just pile up his points vs average or weak lines). In other words he shows up in the big games when his team needs him. Wins should be a factor but it isn’t what makes or break a nominee. A player could have an outstanding record but be secondary player on a good line (i.e being carried). And obviously the 4th option, that player needs to be the best player on his line that season to win the best player in the league...
The skater with the biggest impact on each playoff team and a few of the teams that just missed out (flyers, habs, avs, maybe kings) and maybe a few goalies, community votes from that list. Management could nominate one skater from their team, and throw in the top vezina nominees on top of that.
I feel the Ted Lindsay should be awarded based of Xbox nhl players voting and the finalist should be the players that played the hardest schedule that did the best As I feel the hart should have a voting but be decided by the award committee

ya so by the link you shared @SweetLou9208 so the community as in only LGHL players would be eligible to vote?
No it's basically be we take 1 player (club representative) or 2 alternate as well from every team and have them be a representative of their team and vote
Not to bad an idea. Owner Gm and 1 player maybe this way there is more votes to go around , i like that
That is a great idea. Pick the people with league knowledge and integrity to not troll the vote process.
