Nhl 20 builds/attributes

Here are the BASE attributes for all NHL 20 BUILDS.


The first numbers are what the builds and attributes are at right now (nhl20) and the () numbers are what they were at for the beta.

All the athleticism has been increased with the revert to nhl 19 builds for this release compared to the 20 beta builds. They have reverted back to the NHL19 attribute system for the builds. What do you guys think?


First numbers = NHL 20 release (labeled nhl19 bc they are the nhl 19 attributes)

Voted for 19 builds, the athleticism is better across the board and there's less fucky attributes (like playmakers having 85 SSP)

 

Neither.

The builds need more variety and separation between their attributes.

Each specialized build needs an attribute or two that sets them apart from the others. There is too much overlap between the majority of the builds that renders a lot of them useless, as their primary attribute can be done almost as well by a more versatile build.

 

Still no Jumbo Playmaker so its a complete fail.

They need to go back to full customization of attribute points. Everyone starts out with the same amount and can apply them how they feel.

I can agree with that as long as you don't have to play the game all day to get the points needed to compete with other builds.

 

I am for not needing to earn the points. Rather everyone has them all day 1. And can put them where they please. Also they can still have the builds if ppl dont want to fully customize. But i think the option should be there. Would also be nice if they fix the passing and sauce passes in 20. You can rip passes down the ice like you should be able to.

 

Why would anyone want worse attributes? You guys like playing with 3rd liners?

 

Definatly miss the Jumbo Playmaker but so far nhl 20 looks like a huge sucsess! Like how it's a little different makes it more exciting again and more grinding to get used to

 

the unlockable traits or whatever they are called need to have a dramatic effect on your attributes.
A few +2s or +3s to a couple attributes while also subtracting 2 or 3 points elsewhere is kind of lame.

this is how you can make more customized builds without re-doing the whole system.

Dirty Dangler can add like +4 to deking and puck control with NO MINUSES.

you would have much more variety in build types this way, you could run like a grinder but bump up their puck control, or run a playmaker but bump up their shot.

why are we restricting ourselves to like 81 overall 3rd line NHLers skill sets?

dunno why we have to keep using premade bs builds, they are fucking terrible.. need to bring back custom builds

 

If I can remember, the biggest complaint about custom builds was people would grind the game faster than others and obviously had a clear advantage due to attribute points/boosts (or players would pay for boosts). If they gave everyone the ability to fully customize there player it would solve a lot of problems, and as a whole I think the community would accept it. I think maybe on the new gen there has to be some problem on EAs end if we mess with attribute points in a drastic way, otherwise, there’s no real justification why in EASHL that we should be given the builds they provide us. It would be more fun trying to get better at the “game” then trying to figure out what build suits you, and in some cases a lot of guys don’t like any of them.

 

Juste add custom builds and let the option for the noobs to keep the premade builds just like on call of duty

 

ok these custom build ideas are great but they cannot implement them in this years iteration of the game, it's too late.

what I said can actually be implemented, change the value of the boosts to be more impactful, and remove the negative implications on them.

Give all builds 99 across the board except goalies.

 

I like this, make the traits more meaningful and with no negative implications. That helps, but NHL 21 needs full customization with the unlockable +1, +3, +5’s like there used to be. It was so much fun tweaking your build back then like it was a car.
