Looking to get a new laptop as my macbook of 10+ years is finally at the point of not being usable. Was looking at some chromebooks just out of curiosity they seem interesting. But was wondering if anyone could suggest some different options. Primarily usage would be just general every day tasks, browsing web, youtube / netflix and some stuff for work. My budget would be ideally less than $700 CAD, maybe $800. Cheers
I'd stay Mac. You got 10+ years out of your Macbook, you won't get 10+ years out of a PC - especially not a chromebook. If your budget is $700-$800 you can find a 2-3 year old used Macbook Air in that range.
If all you do is what you described (browse, youtube, netflix, etc), then a Chromebook would be fine for all that. Nice and cheap too (compared to a MacBook of course)
