make the roadrunners play actual hockey

As many of you may know, @DEC3PTIVE 1 has had his teams play the most pussy style of hockey in the entire league the last few seasons. I have a way to solve this. I say everytime his entire team lines up on the blue line and does not have at least one forechecker within 10 seconds we fine deceptive 20$. If it takes more than 10 seconds for them to forecheck that is complete bullshit. Please vote

Guy has been in the AHL for 4 seasons. I know he made one Calder final and a conference championship. Has 2 memorial cups. Maybe, just maybe, it’s not his fault that he can commit a team to a system and other teams can’t . Takes 5 guys to run the trap but also 5 guys to beat the trap.

No doubt every game against them is going to be a grind, but don’t blame them because people can’t adjust to the trap in LG. It’s not like they are secretive about their playstyle.

I’ve been a G for their teams and I have played D in club with them many times. I won’t say I love everything about the playstyle but there is something rewarding about knowing you are on the same page as the other 4 skaters on your line.

It’s hockey you do whatever you have to do to win. It’s a trap. If you have enough skill it’s easy to beat.

 

Bro i made a mem cup semifinal and had deep playoff runs in the chl by just 5 man trapping. It still blows my mind that there are ahlers that dont even know how to trap correctly if they wanted to

 

It’s a simulation NHL league that isn’t realistic , what did you expect

 

Why congratulate someone for convincing others to embrace cowardice as a play style? If this was a COD league, would we congratulate the guy for getting his team to hide behind furniture in their spawn and waiting all game?

LG would be within their rights to ban the 0-5, but as a practical matter enforcement would be difficult and lead to lots of arguments over how much pressure constitutes a "valid forecheck."

However, you can and should mock Trapscon at every opportunity. I'd rather spend a full season on S30 Tampa Bay.

At about the 4:10 moment of this video, the announcers mention it:

“If you are going to play like this, you better not fall behind”

Teams that try to score 7 goals a game are more prone to losing games 8-6 and teams like Tucson that trap hard are much more likely to lose games when they fall down by 2 goals in a game. Their play style has drawbacks just as others do.

people need to stop crying. Good teams in LG be it CHL, AHL or NHL know how to and do utilize the trap.

 

I understand "win by any means necessary" for sure. I just don't see the fun in trying to win 1-0 on a luck turd every game and then putting up the berlin wall as soon as the other team is looking at the puck like they might pick it up. but hey, they win so whatever floats their boats.
