Feature Happy 17th Birthday LG

I've been in this league since I was about 13 years old. I have to say, this league has given me something to look forward to. It helped me get away from the toxicity that I found in my everyday family life. Thank you, LG.

 

When I first came here to the site it was because of @sh0w27 just mentioning a 6v6 hockey league on NHL 15 on the 360.

Joined the league while in college, played, owned and helped as part of the staff. Met so many great people in the league and made a lot of new friends and it felt good to be able to contribute to the community.

I’m just happy to see this lady is still running for so long and now hockey is getting bigger and bigger and the basketball league is starting to break onto it scene, LG’s only gonna get bigger and I want to thank the admins and everybody who’s played in the league for making you what it is today.

I first joined LG because of @Killerfill99 @Eatchy and @prOspect08 in S24
There were some up and downs but LG made me meet a lot of new people and made actual friends that I met irl. Haps LG

 

Happy 17th LG!

I came over when LG announced the addition of PSN. It couldn't have been at a better time as VGHL just switched to a terrible site. LG's site was miles ahead of its competitors and still is. Thanks for being a great NHL home for all of us!

 

I remember back when I helped run the MVPHL, CIHL,OTPHL with EA GAMECHANGER Romotime, Tris approached our league and asked if we would consider merging our group to his new leaguegaming NHL section. My how much its grown since then!!

 

Use to play in an old league (which I think was called pass da puck?) and my old buddies from those days (StiffyNope, NazemKadri43, Kingyanky and Weatherbeezy) all moved here. After I graduated and wanted to get back into more organized competition I found LG and no other league has compared.

Congrats on 17 years, huge accomplishment

Oh, and my favourite moment was S32 CHL playoffs against the Solar Bears (Drew, Holta and Manship) when Holta was calling the victory before the series began... then...

I was playing in leagues for fun. @forzaNY got me into league for my first season in 19.

season 23 I was introduced to @DeIosh and now have been best friends for 6 years despite never meeting.

season 29 gave me another best friend in @Brisan x6 and we have become in real life best friends amongst horrible times especially considering today’s events. LG can bring people together. I’m grateful for all the relationships I’ve had and lost.

I'm a rather new person to this site compared to others, but it's hard to even remember what playing video games was like before LG. Nowadays anytime I'm playing with other people, even outside of NHL, it's usually with other LG members. I really enjoy the community that I've grown to be a part of since I joined in 2017. From the political debates in a virtual hockey chatbox to pattelite's barely intelligible english, it's been a fun ride.

 

I joined LG 7 seasons ago because I was bored to play NHL every years and don't see any improvements and soon as I tried a scouting game I said to me "you will have a lot of fun with this!"

I don't know if some of QC guys will say the same but LG learn to me how to speak english! My english was something like "yes", "no", "toaster" and now I can speak english well and make fun with english people.

It's nice to play and talk hockey with guys!
