I wanted to take this opportunity to address the community regarding a few losses we have experienced so early on in this season. The last few weeks have been a harsher reminder that life can be short but has also opened my eyes to how generous and compassionate this community is as well. Often the loudest voice in the room is that of a toxic player, while the content majority sit back and enjoy what this is in peace.

Most recently we saw our community rally behind @oRecki has he took on his battle with some medical compilations. It is with a heavy heart, that I am informing you all that he was unable to overcome his issues thereby passing a few days ago. There has been a lot of teams that have taken a moment of silence prior to their games as a sign of respect. This is a pretty incredible gesture. We have also seen players change their name as well as their number in support. This was common as when Vibes passes a few seasons back. Reck will be remembered for his personality and how he treated people. He was one of the most genuine people you could ever meet on the internet.

The league has decided to remove Reck's contract and position for the season but leave him on his current team's roster. He won't count towards the cap or roster space either. This one really has touched our community therefore we want to wish you all the best in this difficult time.

A few weeks back myself and a few other members of the site were approached by @AffordableDreams wife via a PSN message. Those of you who were close to Dreams may have been aware of his medical condition that was slowly deteriorating his body and mind. We all know how much time Dream's dedicated to our community and to this website. Therefore when he was not active for a few weeks the red flags were noticed by most of us. His wife explained to me personally that his condition worsens so badly that he will remain in the hospital for the rest of his days. He, unfortunately, he does not have the mental capacity anymore to function or take care of himself. This one for me personally is difficult. I personally feel dreams emulated exactly what this website believes in. He donated so much of his time to give back to this community and his contributions will never be forgotten.

My final thoughts are how proud I am to be a part of a community that takes care of each other as we have seen in recent weeks. This thread will remain open for the community to share stories and such.

<3 to anybody going through tough times especially with the crazy world we live in. Events like these make me re-evaluate the way I act online because life’s too short to live with hate and toxicity. Enjoy the little things like being able to chat in a party with your virtual friends daily. Before you know it it’s over. <3

I didn't know Recki, but I spoke with Dreams quite a bit near the end of his life. Such a generous gentlemen he was; both of these men will be greatly missed.

tragic to lose someone so young in Recki thoughts and prayers to his family.
Also didn't know about Dreams I went on his stream for post games during my time in the CHL he is a really nice guy sad to hear about that.

Damn, who knew when I was in a party with affordable it would be the last time I'd ever talk to him. Didn't really know recki but prayers to his friends and family.

Man I had no idea about @AffordableDreams. Having been apart of one of his teams and seeing all the media he contributed with that’s tough to see. Life is too short. Prayers to both of the families. Good to see the community come together.

We've lost some really great members of the community. It still hasn't settled in yet that Recki is gone or that we won't see another Affordable media post. They did a lot for leaguegaming and NHL as a whole. They'll never be forgotten.

I never met @AffordableDreams but just from what I have read he seem like he was a great guy. @oRecki he was one of my great friends. He picked me up through some low times !!! And to vibes I’m sorry we couldn’t win you a cup on PSN but the memories we made man were amazing. I love you all even if I don’t speak to you guys regularly. We have a tight community here

I never had the chance to talk Recki however I spoke with dreams a lot over the past few months, he was one of the nicest people I’ve ever meet playing Chel so sad to hear that he passed R.I.P to both recki and dreams ❤️
