Season 23 Week 5 Power Rankings

1. Miami Heat (24-6) Previous Rank: N/A

The Miami Heat lock in another 5-1 week to add to the record. @xRICKOSHAY legitimized his MVP candidacy by blowing out the Pelicans 1st line 94-45. They've put the league on notice and have the best overall win % through week 5. They're in playoff form and ready to defend their title. Let's see if they can hold onto the 1st seed and head into the loffs hitting on all cylinders.

2. Memphis Grizzlies (21-9) Previous Rank: N/A

@D Andoo99 and the Grizz continue to roll. After a 5-1 week, the team will look to lock up a 1st round bye. They are in the drivers seat in their conference and this is their race to lose. They have been impressive since week 2 and have shown what excellence can look like. Dark horse @th4 x w4ll will hope to put a few more wins in his column to help him in his MVP chances. These Grizzlies are hungry, and its lunch time.

3. Atlanta Hawks (22-8) Previous Rank: 4

The Hawks have recovered. This team had an impressive 5-1 week and have resumed domination. Between both lines, the team scored 100 points or more in 3 different games this week. @l SnypE l led the way for the overall team averaging 44PPG, 15.7ASTS, and 5STLS this week. The trades for @mferra32 - @Dangs92 - @Tempest7Storm have solidified EVERYTHING. Watch out Heat, the Hawks are on the hunt!

4. New Orleans Pelicans (21-9) Previous Rank: 3

The Pelicans had a good overall week. While recording a 4-2, they suffered an absolute brutal loss to the Heat 94-45. The Heat could be a potential Finals matchup and you would expect those type of games to be close. This game could also potentially be a blemish on @xVenom OF MVP chances. Let's see if they can finish the season off strong and head into the loffs with momentum.

5. Los Angeles Lakers (19-11) Previous Rank: N/A

The LA Lakers took a bit of a step back this week. After going 3-3, the 1st or 2nd seed look to be out of reach unless one of the two other West teams take a huge tumble. They will most likely enter the loffs as the 3 seed and face whoever ends up securing the 6 seed. However, anything can happen in the Wild Wild West. You just never know. Buckle up Laker Nation!

6. Minnesota T-Wolves (15-15) Previous Rank: 8

@SavagePatchh , the team figured it out! The moves to acquire @Tibbernac and @HBB Westie have started to pay off as the Timberpups have emerged from the smoke as Wolves. This team is starting to perform like the true contenders many around the league thought they would be. @BWitt x 14 , this is your chance to take it home. Show the West and the rest of the league why you deserve it.

7. Philadelphia 76ers (15-15) Previous Rank: 9

This Sixer team has been revitalized. Through trials and tribulations, they were able to put together a 4-2 week and are now in position to potentially be the 3 seed. @Easy Macaroni and the boys will be a tough out once in the playoffs. Sleep on these guys and they will surprise you. Didn't Rocky Balboa emerge from Philly? This is the equivalent. Gloves up!

8. New York Knicks (15-15) Previous Rank: 7

As predicted, @FREE MEL0 and the New York Knicks continue to hover at .500. These boys had a solid 3-3 week and are also in position to stranglehold the 3 seed next week. Depth and continuity can solve a lot of issues. Although there are no top tier names on this team, they continue to produce. One more week fellas! Y'all have what it takes?

9. Washington Wizards (15-15) Previous Rank: 6

@Murda Dreams and his Wizards stumbled this week after going 2-4. Even with this misstep, they're also in position to potentially steal the 3 seed. Wait, is this article on repeat? Nevertheless, the boys in Washington look to capitalize on their position and shock the East. They have one week to do it. Show us the magic!

10. Toronto Raptors (13-17) Previous Rank: N/A

@YSL BULLY and his Raptors are fading after going 2-4 this week. They need a solid final week in order to lock up the final playoff position in the East. This team still has the pieces to do it. All in all, it would be a successful season if this team sneaks in. They will most likely be a 1st round out, but all owners cannot say they make it to the loffs. Y'all can do it!

11. Chicago Bulls (12-18) Previous Rank: 13

This statement still stands true: "No one would've believed that @Ayztraks and his Chicago Bulls would be this high up in the rankings. Yet, here they are." They made another huge move to acquire another PG they desperately needed in @Advanced Zap and he is already paying dividends. They will be in this playoff push until the end. As a 1st season coming into a new league, @Ayztraks should be proud of his team. They've continued to fight.

12. Phoenix Suns (12-18) Previous Rank: 11

@im just a squid and the boys continue to slip. This team finished the week 2-4 again. The Suns suffered an enormous blow losing @Two Lag Shots to a violation, as he was an integral part of the team. It is doubtful they recover from this, but they are already in position to lock down a playoff spot. Another 2-4 week should do it.

13. Indiana Pacers (12-18) Previous Rank: 12

This team continues to dive deeper in the hole as they endure another 2-4 week. @STG BEAST has struggled to keep this team afloat because of all the adversity they have faced these last few weeks. The emergency light is flashing, but if they can somehow figure it out in week 6, they can weasel their way into a spot. Keep Pace boys!

14. Portland Trail Blazers (10-20) Previous Rank: 15

Ok, it is broken record. "@axemurderer29 and his Blazers cant continue having 2-4 weeks." This team trades away one of the two-headed monster and is now in danger of missing the playoffs. Whoever wins more games next week between them and OKC will take the last spot in the playoffs. Set the tone and Blaze your way into the loffs!

15. Oklahoma City Thunder (10-20) Previous Rank: 14

@HBB Rise and his OKC Thunder are in free-fall. Yet, somehow, in position to make the playoffs. The West has indeed been wild. This team would have no shot for the playoffs in the East but here they are; in contention for the last spot. Summon your inner Thor boys!

16. Utah Jazz (4-26) Previous Rank: N/A

@johnny nobakes and the Jazz were not able to get anymore wins this week unfortunately. Although their season is essentially over, they are getting necessary experience and learning on the job. Finish the season with your heads high fellas.
