We're half way there! More importantly, this week will be used to determine the pre-qualified teams represented in the Northern Arena x NHL Gamer event. Who is Stayin' Hot? Composure (1st) vs (4th) Composure currently sits at 45 points riding a 5W streak. Their only loss of the season so far coming in OT on a night they had to play without team captain @Tendy. @KushNastyy did a great job stepping in helping the team to a 3-0-1 record that night against a very underrated Flawless team, and up and coming team Ground N Pound. comes into the matchup riding the largest current winning streak of the season at 13W helping them secure 39 points. Their last 2 matchups in particular have been very impressive, as they've swept both Chilltown and Denial. After a rough start it looks like is starting to click at the right time. Other Series: Composure will meet Resignation, and we'll likely see a sweep by wet. visits Turning Point, and we'll likely a split. Prediction: Composure and secures a top seed to pre-qualify for the NA x NHL Gamer tournament at the end of the week. ---------- The Underdogs (2nd) vs Cracked (4th) The Underdogs find themselves with extremely favorable Wednesday night match ups. Tonight they'll play Cracked and The Walking Dead. The Dogs are a powerhouse team, and I feel comfortable predicting a 4-0-0 night with all wins coming in regulation. Cracked is about to run into a brick wall, and that wall features The Underdogs and 6th Sense. Two teams that most would have on their lists of the top 5-7 teams in the tournament. Cracked has benefited from a fairly easy schedule, and I expect them to lose all 4 tonight and drop outside of the top 16 probably into the 30 range. ---------- Vertigo (3rd) vs Unknown Talent / Knight Shift (11th / 10th) Vertigo gets a more favorable draw in their Wednesday night games, pulling Unknown Talent and Knight Shift. Two teams capable of beating good teams, but not quite there yet. Should be a 4-0-0 / 3-1-0 type of night to set Vertigo to secure a pre-qualification spot in the NA x NHL Gamer tournament. Unknown Talent Prediction: Should make the CBJ Pepsi Summer Cup Playoffs as a top 16 team, and will likely qualify for the NA x NHLGamer season. Knight Shift Prediction: Will likely miss the CBJ Pepsi Summer Cup Playoffs as a top 16 team, but should compete to qualify for the NA x NHLGamer season. ---------- 6th Sense (3rd) vs Turning Point (7th) 6th Sense and Turning Point meet in what will likely be an extremely excited and important series. Both teams obviously looking to sweep or split, if they want any chance to compete for those top X spots to pre-qualify for the NA x NHL Gamer Tournament. 6th Sense looks like they're returning to (or close to) Championship shape after temporarily going their separate ways. Turning Point also seems to have figured out any early chemistry issues with the additions of former Resilience d-pairing @LemeIin and @Doughty x I8I. Who Needs to Figure it Out? Chilltown (30th at 30 Points) If you don't bring your best against and Vertigo they'll make you pay, and that's exactly what happened. Chilltown ran into two tough opponents who were on their game, and now they find themselves in a hole on a 4L streak. Chilltown only finds themselves 5 points out, which doesn't sound too bad. The toughest part will be how many teams they need to leapfrog (14 teams). I'm sure everybody expects this team too make it easily, but they won't have much room for error down the stretch. Denial (22nd at 30 Points) Same boat as Chilltown. Victims of a 4L streak, but they ran into and Unknown Talent. The Unknown Talent matchup is probably the most alarming, as Denial is built with a much more talented lineup than Unknown Talent. NA x NHL Gamer Invite Predictions 1. Composure 2. Vertigo 3.
