Short and sweet this week since i don't feel like dissecting each team. I tiered the teams this week, lets take a look S Tier 1. Canad.... oh wait nvm sorry 1. Denmark (15-2-1) (8-1 this week) Great team has turned dominate. 8 straight wins. Can they be stopped? 2. Norway (11-6-3) (8-1 this week) This is the team they were supposed to be after an awful week 1, 6 straight wins and 10-1-1 in last 12 A Tier 3. Czech Republic (11-2-5) (6-3 this week) Solid week including Denmark's only loss... BUT a loss to Canada moves you down a tier 4. Latvia (12-6) (7-2 this week) they are getting better every game, despite some questionable losses 5. Austria (10-6-2) (6-1-2 this week) this team is sneaky good, they are contenders unless a self-implosion happens from within B Tier 6. Finland (11-6-1) (3-5-1 this week) very bad week from an otherwise good team. Next week will they prove if this week was a fluke or this is what Finland is now 7. Belarus (10-5-2) (3-4-2 this week) same as Finland, what the hell is going on? With that much talent, theres no reason to play that poorly. Again, week 3 will define this team 8. Russia (10-7-1) (6-3 this week) just like Austria, watch out for this team. They arent quite A tier level yet, but if they played like they did this week in week 1, this team would have been a top 3 team. C Tier 9. Germany (8-4-6) (4-1-4 this week) this is mind boggling. i dont know if Germany are good or bad. This team is the definition of "play to the level of their competition" and with that talent, its inexcusable 10. Slovenia (10-8) (6-3 this week) middle of the pack team as of now, 6 wins this week, however only 1 of them i view as a quality win. They have alot to prove next week 11. Sweden (9-8-1) (4-4-1 this week) the Swedes continue to impress me after ranking them dead last before the season. Same thing i said about Slovenia.. can they get more quality wins? D Tier 12. USA (7-10-1) (2-6-1 this week) this one hurts me. Why is this team not performing well?! makes no sense 13. Switzerland (7-10-1) (2-7 this week) what is going on with Switz? with this much talent 2-7 is brutal. Also a forfeit loss? there is something going on here and it does not look good E Tier 14. Slovakia (5-10-2) (3-5-1 this week) they were 1 goal in 4OT away from being up a higher tier. This team needs to get it together or they will continue to be a bottom-feeder 15. Kazakhstan (5-12-1) (2-7 this week) cant put in to words how bad this team in under performing. Their record is a crime to the talent this team posses F Tier 16. Canada (2-16) (2-7 this week) they got 2 wins... YAY!!! will they get more than 2 next week?
Terrible week for Sweden, lots of down guys in the locker room who all felt they played terribly. Only better performance to come.
I am included in my criticism. And i try to help my team win every time i step on the ice and in our team chat. Always have. The reality right now is that we are playing awful, hence my previous post.
