The Ted Lindsay Award, formerly known as the Lester B. Pearson Award, is awarded annually to the National Hockey League's most outstanding player in the regular season as judged by members of the community. Voting for this award is as follows: all owners from Season 14 except for @JClaus33 are eligible to have one vote for this award, and the community vote counts as one vote. Altogether there is 31 votes from the community in order to determine the Ted Lindsay Award. The Awards Committee has no say in the award except for our owner members, and contributing to the community vote. STL west is the Blues 1st, Pelley and Moti were Arizona's 1st, Desjy would be Ottawa's 1st, hope that clears things up

 

I think that it has to do with how many wins that line has to be considered a first or not

 

Not really lol no way you think STL's west is their first, and disagree strongly on Moti/Pelley no disrespect intended, but then again, highly subjective, all good!

 

Both strength of schedules for St. Louis' top 6 don't help their cases in being considered firsts, so throughout compiling stats we on the committee that did the collection sided with the line with more wins and pulls west as their 1st since they are a top-10 team in the standings and calling both lines 2nds would be flat out ignorant. Lines faced has never had a perfect formula and I always suggest that more stock should be put in games vs. 3rds than games vs. 1sts.

 

Agree with that last part but still Snoki and Snowman's line had 2 guys at the top of the scoring leaderboards and we all know why STL's west had a better record. Anyway, thanks for answering!
