Well, I would like to apologize for not doing the week 2 version of Overreactions. A lot of shit happened in my personal life with exams and god damnit women. In return, I will be adding a couple more news bits to talk about. So without further ado, here is your week 3 Overreactions, and as always, if you hate the intro skip it or read it I can’t control you. With week 3 concluding in LG, were already a third of the way through the season. Some guys like @AnacondaStud are having the performance of their lives going 7-1-1 through the first 9 games (more on that later). While other guys like @TheHeroicDuck is 2-7 (Holy shit did I read that right? - I guess more on that later? - editors note - yea more on that later). In my time wrestling through high school, I went through many losses and beatings that make you question yourself more than anything. My buddy who went to private school and was one of the top wrestlers in the state, transferred to my public school and since we were similar weight classes, became partners for the season. For those who don’t know wrestling people tend to have different styles, counter/defense, full fledged offense, ground specialist, etc. Well my buddy was full fledged offense and I was more of a counter/defense guy. Now, you might think that doesn’t cause issues but in order for me to really be good I have to be locked in 100%, while he doesn’t really need to be. Well, who the fuck goes 100% in practice? So I got my ass kicked 24/7 in that, and honestly even when I did try I still got my ass kicked. This lead to me being very insecure about my game, do I shoot here? Do I play defense? Is my shot even that good? I would watch every opponent's match trying to get an understanding of what moves I could do to beat them. I blamed my buddy for ruining my confidence and making me a worse wrestler (even though I went from a 14-12 record to a 33-14 record) and my coach for not teaching me the right moves to beat the top dogs. I did everything wrong from what a leader and real man should do. So while you may be losing on your current team and banging on others for not putting you in a better situation. Yes teals breakout sucks, yes blue forces passes, yes the goalie let in 2 softies. You CAN'T control those players, you can only control yourself and I guarantee you aren’t playing lights out either. instead of hating on your teammates and being that toxic dude who leaves the party, talk to them about what they’re doing wrong and how to improve, if they don’t wanna listen, so be it, that’s on them. Just because others aren’t being the best teammate doesn’t mean you can stop being the best you can be. That’s what a real leader and man does. My next season my friend transferred back to his private school and went on to have a great season there. I continued improving, and went like 38-11 winning regions and getting 4th at states. So while improvement takes work which is hard and painful and long. The payoff in the end is worth it - don't be a cuck. Overreactions - Week 3 1) Ottawa Senators and Tampa Bay Lightning- If you wanna know how dominant these two teams are, all but ONE of their losses are by their third line. BOTH teams “1st lines” are undefeated and their second lines would rival other CONTENDERS first lines. Shout out to @Barks l21l for going 8-1 the kid is cracked. In more proof of how dominant these two teams are they lead the league in goal differential, the next closest team is 10 away from them. 36-26, LITERALLY a 38% difference. On an average basis, when Ottawa goes into a game, they are expected to win by 1.25 goals. Ottawa also paces the league with 99 goals for, which is an average of 3.67 per game. Literally on pace to score 301 goals this season (Rep my area code) - and yes I know Edmonton has 101. Meanwhile, over in Tampa, they play a different style, only letting up 47 goals against. Which also paces the league, the next closest team? Florida with 62. Meaning they led by 25%, a ridiculous amount. I guess the right questions to ask are, will they fuck it up? Blur and Stiff are proven managers but maybe come trade deadline they see a trade that looks very appetizing that actually fucks them over. Do I expect this to happen? Yes, Ottawa will trade Patt at the deadline and hell fuck them over in Game 7 of the finals with Chicago and net the game winning goal. 2) Disappointment How do you go from a 23-2-1 season, where you pace the league and I am pretty sure with the West, to a 3-6 line? Are they that west dependent? I think Vancouver is being exposed here for what they are, and rather than proving that DRB turned the corner and is a stud player, he is just above average - which is OK. There are very few stud players and this is the perfect time in the season to realize what went wrong. In Buffalo, you have the CJ line which is going 5-4, decent for a GM, but then you realize THEY ARE THE ONLY LINE WITH WINS. @BUFFALO STAR 23 is 0-8-1 with his line and the rest of the team is a revolving door. Going from being a wild card team to this is going to be disappointing, but you have to find answers and take accountability, will this be a story of s33 Buffalo? Probably not but you can always hope. 3) Literally what the fuck - @AnacondaStud is sitting at 7-1-1 heading into week 4. By all metrics he is above average in every metric, OEE and OZE, assists, etc. This is most likely a product of playing on a stud team, but seeing at what happened the last time he was on this good of a team, (s29 Chicago) it seems Ottawa will choke in the playoffs. Meanwhile @TheHeroicDuck is sitting at 2-7, with a lot of expectations of repeating as presidents trophy champs, or at the very least competing in the division. This squad and in general the top line of NJD has failed. I guess this just goes to show how good of a manager RGD is. Will they turn it around? I have no idea, much like Carolina you’re staring at good managers who are underperforming, but what moves can be made? Depth is the issue and it’s hard to trade good depth pieces around. TBH I am kind of getting tired of writing so I’m gonna do some quick hitters. Nashville has firmly established themselves as playoff contenders. Atlantic is still CRACKED Pacific and Metro suck - wonder if managers are pissed about the division realignment Dallas is also competing like crazy, BLK has his squad competing for the lead in the division Vegas is weaker than last season but still are having strong performances to keep them in the division race, I wonder if GNP will string together a couple 3-0 weeks to put some distance between the bottom guys The entire Blur line allows a goal every 5 minutes. It takes my line and the Toronify line in NJ 1:35 to score, talk about deadly. So far it seems there is a deep correlation in Shots against and winning, as Tampa and Ottawa’s G’s have the lowest SPG and obviously they are leading. The Canucks have traded Levachkin to the Panthers for Manning x 76 & 3rd Round Pick Great trade for both teams, Manning is someone who plays a bunch and can revamp their team, while Florida gets IMO the better player. The Canadiens have traded UniqueSniper135 & Seek0 to the Wild for Henreek & 2nd Round Pick & ReplayChr1s Pairs Unique with Gilbz and Joordan, which is a deadly combo, this definitely made the Wild better, though I think they lost a bit on the D-end. Good trade there Devin This wraps up this week's edition, I’m getting pretty tired of doing paragraphs so i might make everything quick hitters/PR next week. A couple people PM’d me about the media which was dope. I appreciate the kind words and the people calling me a simple person. Shit is funny and I 100% am a simp. All love,
Pattelite was also a wrestler. Is brother give im the pedigree and he forget to move is ead sideway and broke is nose.
