Yes, I know @TTV-TheManBerto told me to take a break from the league this week, but I simply could not refuse to do this write-up!

Good day to all that are looking forward to the final week of Season 11! We have already had our league champions crowned decisively, so congrats to @KevinSLB1302 , @AZEVEDO2002 , @AchiIIes-sV as the management staff and to all the LG Real Madrid players for winning the La Liga with 4 games to spare. Though that adventure is over, we still have the $10 million dollar prize coming up as the Copa del Rey has it’s 4 semifinalists and they all have their tales to tell. Granada CF, Sevilla FC, Real Madrid, and CA Osasuna have maneuvered their way into the top 2 of Group A and B respectively and will now battle it out to be crowned Copa del Rey Winners. Let’s go into the tale of the tape for all 4 teams.

    Granada CF

Well, they started off the Cup run hot, undefeated in their 5 games, until taking a heavy defeat vs Real Madrid on the final game of Matchweek 3; 7-1 with a depleted side. Matchweek 4 continued their spiral downwards as they were only able to pick up 1 out of a possible 6 points as Atletico and Sevilla looked to solidify their places as 1st and 2nd. A few moves later on and a revamped Granada team ended their skid and picked up 13 out of the next 15 points including a much-needed win vs Sevilla to give themselves a chance to spring board into 1st overall in Group A. Lead by the T-3rd highest goalscorer in the Copa del Rey A_BREED_APART and top assister Omar13VA, their motto runs by an offensive heavy front that they will outscore your team and are not afraid to risk it for the goal. Will their high-flying offense (T-2nd most goals scored in the Copa del Rey) lead them to the finals and beyond or will their defense be the reason on them not going through vs the opposition that in itself have been very solid?

    Sevilla FC

Well, they were able to squeak into the final slot, +8 GD edging out Atleti’s +7 GD as they too look to finish the campaign on a high. A very tough start into the Copa del Rey as they were only able to get 6 points out of a possible 15, with 3 ties may have hurt the hopes that they could be able to snuff the opposition out entirely. They soon gathered themselves, getting hold of 10 out of 15 points to put them in control of their own fate. With 2 wins going into the final day, they knew that they just needed a tie to advance, but a tie they did not get. Losing their keeper early on in the game and then losing their Right Back later on, they fought valiantly, but lost 2-1, but that was just enough to not force a claim from the Atleti side that could have taken it all the way to the 5th tiebreaker, one where Atleti would have been in this spot over Sevilla. A very sound team with talisman @Pheonixx-96 who is T-3rd highest goalscorer with @Fabian I. Rodriguez who is 2nd with most assists in the Copa del Rey, they have conceded the 3rd least goals and play around their opposition. Will this be the key to them hoisting the cup, or will they fall flat for who they face on the other end on the field?

    Real Madrid

La Liga winners, fronted by the best defense in the league, has both league and cup leaders in goals scored (@KevinSLB1302 and @KiXSTAr-sV ) in the front and lead by an experience core of players who have already won cups and leagues before. The favorites to win the double no doubt. They barely stumbled as they were able to set their opponents aside to victory, only dropping 7 points out of a possible 39 in the Copa Del Rey. They can dictate play from however they see fit and aren’t ones to be caught off guard in most situations. The question is that this cup is all about seizing the moment. Will they be the ones to keep composed as the best team of the league, or will they fall victim to looking down on their opponents and let the cup fall out of their hands? Their opponents in Sevilla FC aren’t afraid to go toe-to-toe with them and this matchup will be one to watch for all the neutrals to enjoy as a classic?

    CA Osasuna

A brutal way to start the cup campaign, 6 points out of 18 in a group that consisted of Real Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Cadiz. You would have been hard pressed to believe that they would be able to make up the difference to get a spot in the semis. You would be wrong, snagging 19 out of a possible 21 points, they were able to rally off a on/off league campaign and it all started with beating both Real Madrid and Valencia 1-0 and 3-2 respectively to keep the faith alive for Osasuna. You can already see they where their strengths are, conceding the 2nd least goals in the Copa del Rey, but that they struggle to score, with a paltry 15 goals (4th least goals scored in the Copa del Rey). No outstanding players pulling the team on their back, they seem to be a team that win or lose together, but will that hurt them when it matters the most? A battle of the unstoppable force of Granada CF’s offense vs the immovable object of CA Osasuna’s defense will make this a much closer series than most expect it to be.
