Rulebook https://www.leaguegaming.com/esports/Kings_Coast_Cup_Rulebook.pdf New Universal ESHL Leaderboard - Team Divisions One of the most requested features asked is a universal leaderboard that spans the 6v6 events and puts the teams into divisions based on their success. We will be launching such a system next week and break the teams into these divisions ESHL Division 1 - Top 8 Teams ESHL Division 2 - Teams 9-16 ESHL Division 3 - Teams 17-32 ESHL Division 4 - Teams 33-64 ESHL Division Open - Every other or new team The divisions are calculated from results from both CapsGaming Seasons, Sharks Pacific Cup, CBJ Winter Cup, and ESHL Space Esports events. We will have more about this next week once Caps is complete! 3 Events - New Format We are proud to announce the guys from Kings Coast have committed to a minimum of 3 tournaments with an option of more events throughout the year. ESHL S15 - The Kings Coast Cup - Event 2 - $2,000 USD Dates TBA ESHL S16 - The Kings Coast Cup - Event 3 - $2,000 USD Dates TBA Options for Events 4-* A lot of player feedback is to make events shorter or have a shorter regular season and that's exactly what we have done here with this format, here's how it will work World Cup Style Tournaments All events are free to play (ie, no buy-in) Each "Event" is capped at 64 teams. Events will have 1 week of a regular-season *7 games), followed by 5 rounds of playoffs (BO5) Events run just under 1 month each. How to Qualify for an event To get the 64 teams, if you finished in the top 32 of either Sharks or Caps Season 2 and signup, you auto qualify. If you make top 32 of "ESHL S14 - The Kings Coast Cup - Event 1", you qualify for "ESHL S15 - The Kings Coast Cup - Event 2" (and so on) After event 1, any team in division 1 & 2 auto qualify If you don't meet any of these conditions, you must qualify via online qualifiers. There will be 2 qualifiers for ESHL S14 - The Kings Coast Cup - Event 1, they are March 18th Thursday March 19th Friday We will post exact rules about how far in the qualifiers you need to go to qualify, as we won't know those numbers until we know team signups. The events will be very much like a "World cup" style, There will be 8 "Groups" of 8 teams. The regular season is just 2 nights where you play everyone in your group once (7 games) The top 4 teams from each of the 8 groups will then advance into a 32 team playoff bracket The teams from ESHL Division 1 & ESHL Division 2 will be spread out into the 8 groups. The rest will be randomly placed into the groups Each "Event" has a $2,000 USD prize. ESHL S14 - The Kings Coast Cup - Event 1 - Dates Full Event March 17th - April 14th.
