I agree with the part of it being YOUR media but at the same time if you want it to succeed and be something that everyone can enjoy than you're gonna have to be willing to take critics. Also, I do agree with the fact on putting yourself on it is kinda selfish. A majority of the people whom do power ranking media will not put their own teams in it due to the bias. NOW, if you have a running buddy to do the media with and he posts something about you or you get mentioned by someone else than that would be a reason to tip your hat to. Again this is just food for thought.

 

I see the issue of including yourself.

To come across as "unbiased" maybe exclude yourself from the "main ranking", and then call out your own performance separately (E: Self Eval - I killed it and would have put myself at the top slot//I had a brutal week and would rank somewhere around 58th). Biggest problem is your going to have WAY more context for your performance vs anyone else's.

In terms of "who they play behind" I fully agree, just wish there was a good way to distill that effectively/consistently. the approach of only counting games where guys face 8+/10+ shots is decent if consistent.

Or you could even do a "number only" review ranking guys by performance without context and including context as an aside, and then a "contextual" ranking as well.

but at the end of the day it's your media and god knows I'm not gonna spend the time to do it so you do you.
