Who is on your LG Allstar Team?

Hello there

This is something I've thought about putting together since I stopped playing a few seasons back. This thread is more for veteran players in the league (newer players can still give it a shot) but is something I think could be interesting to see from different perspectives. It is an Allstar Team of players you've played with throughout your LG career. I was thinking of different stipulations and these are the rules I based my team around.

- Must have played with player for at least 1 full season (Maybe half a season/deadline acquisitions should be in play, i'll add mine in at the end)
- Players are considered at the position they played with you at (If a player played Fwd with you but is a better Dman, they are considered a Fwd, and vice versa)
- Pick players based on how good they were in their prime season(s), not necessarily how they played while on your team
- Include yourself in the lineup

I created the lines to make as much sense as possible imo. As I mentioned I hope others can have some fun with this and put their own lineup together as I think it would be cool to see. All my names (if I translated this right) are based on players in their primes. And remember, some of these are based on what they were on Xbox (wasn’t defined versus PSN), but I CHOSE names
I only played with on PSN.



Line 1:

Rickchel - CCPiper - Briere
Gwan - Jbeale / Mxnahan
Kernsy

Beale is not the best RD on this list, but Florida Jbeale was one of the few dman on this planet who could make an impact on the game without the puck. And when you have Gwan slinging the puck around, Piper playing an excellent two way game, this line isn’t gonna be stopped easily.

Oh and if you get more than 2-3 shots in the entire game they’re on Kerns.


Line 2:

Merana - White Knucklerz
Krofto


When I am at my best, I am surrounded by people who can take my super unnecessary spin passes, and cherry pick up the ice, score, and allow me to control the middle of the ice defensively. Poland and Kush on a line with me in my prime would put up stupid numbers, and would spend all 30 minutes trolling the entire team. The merana brothers on defense (I don’t care if you’re not a merana fan) are gross. Krofto can win games by himself, let alone with a disgusting defense pair and a defensive / face-off dominant center in front of him.

Third line was tough. I give HJHF the slight edge over SelkeSean and Ayoh. Bo I think is obvious, he’s a staple LD in the league, and when I took over Florida mid season, selkesean would not let me get rid of Cody/Crush. I essentially interviewed Cody to convince him to not ask for a trade to (the eventual 3x cup winning) Avs. Most of you may not know Penguinshockey, hes probably a t5 point getter in LG history if he had played as much as the rest of us. Sooksta was one of the better versus / LWs to ever play.

Jdoolus was a t5 goalie on Xbox, and showed flashes of it on PSN.

I have spent way more time then I should’ve on this and I still was not able to cut it down from 4 units so I’ll just roll with it. I've been fortunate enough to play with great players at all 3 levels of LG so I tried to incorporate as many of my teams as possible:

First Unit

Have to put Saucy on LD as he was my favourite LD I've ever played with, and then I get to re-connect Willi with his dad Lafleur. Killuh in net as he was starter for not one but two long playoff runs with me, goat.

Second Unit

My most recent unit I could recreate, have to go with nearly all of the Sens Game 7 here. According to these rules I get a prime east, so can't wait to see those young thumbs again. Had to put myself on RW to be with Justin again who was my favourite C to play with, also think we matured as players after Tampa and could've did a lot more together later. Eyekyew was my young prodigy and now he's all grown up and I miss him. Grinder and Bacon, great people, we're very happy to play together at most points throughout the season! Had to put them back together (as long as it's their playoff selves).

Third Unit

Had to mix and match the last NHL-AHL focused unit so I fit in as many eras as possible. Mitch needed to be in here, was magical on Arizona. JD was on my very first full-time NHL roster and then I was fortunate enough to get him back last season, as he's a hell of a player, then I join him with his current linemate and finally a Hartford representative in Brayden who was simply another person I had to get in here. Went with my good friend Dowden over @ExtraSweetSauce on LD (sorry), and Cody on RD since he's the one that helped me finished my Triple Crown and trusted me to continue playing centre. Capsfan in net because I consider S10 one of his prime seasons and he was absolutely cracked carrying our broken third line in games.

Fourth Unit

This is why I couldn't cut it down to three units, I needed a Val d'Or unit. I always credit this team for making me get hooked to LG (guess it's easy when you sit in net and watch them work). Ali will always be a goat to me. Tidan and Charmop still play and still kill it. Cyr and Sall just a flat out scary D pairing to have in their prime. In net for like a honourary/4th goalie, Nasty was an easy choice when talking about having someone in their prime. Was an absolute beast at all three levels of LG.

@StoneR-3point0 (S11 TB) - One of the best teammates I've ever had and fit the role of complimentary winger to a tee. Me and Justin always appreciated you.

@CorSnortzky (S15 DAL) - You're like Stoner except you snaked me to go AHL so idk man.

@ttp-21- (S10 TB) - Still the best forechecking winger I've ever played with. Come back one day please.

@Jibad- (S17 OTT) - WHY COULDN'T I JUST GIVE MILLS OR CRUSADE A 2-SEASON INSTEAD OF A 3.
