S19 Bidding: The Good News and Bad News With Jay and Dex

Both Dex and I have been in LG for quite some time now and we love to read the media each season. We decided we wanted to contribute to the media for S19 with some hot takes and to try and add some fun drama to the league post bidding.


We hope everyone enjoys it and has a great season.



Anaheim Ducks


The Good News

When first looking at the Ducks, they have a strong management core with Dangs and Ethancy. Dangs will play with Rico and his duo Pier, and that line has great chemistry and fire power. Adding Wickie to the fold for only 5.25 mill is a steal and tbh, crazy when you look at how he was 4 mill more on the box. Wickie and Ethan can do some real damage together and we feel the top 6 overall has some great fire power.


On Defense, he's often in drama but Jenk has some stones and doesn't back down from anyone in the lg comments and we respect that. If he can be a steady presence on the Dangs line where we think he will be, the line will do well. Tbeat is a guy that in s14 so many people over looked but he always manages to find himself on good teams since then. HypaD has always been a great player in this league and on D has experience.


The Bad News

When looking at the rest of the forward core, we dont recognize too much so we can't say a lot, but depth could be a question mark up front. On D, we feel breakouts could be a big problem and may lead to the potential of the top forwards from scoring. HypaD is their most offensive dman or guy that is most likely to break it out and that could lead to major problems for this team. In net Shooobie should get the job done.


Arizona Coyotes


The Good News

Laf and Tidan is a great management duo with a lot of experience, and two guys that have and deserve a lot of respect in this league. Zinczy is a guy we were bidding on and heard good things about, as well as his line should do some damage. Tom is grinding drafts and despite some poor stats since he was drafted, we all know what he is capable of and this season he might hit his potential with Tidan. Gooch is Gooch and he will always be a solid LW and one hell of a presence in the locker room. For 5.5, in this bidding especially with the wingers and guys worse than him going higher, what a great bid.


The Bad News

Overall, the forward are great, but crafted will need to be productive with his line, but unless he is with laf on D, it could be hard to get the puck out the zone. We feel the d core besides laf will be the downfall of this team. There just isn't anyone besides him that is someone you know will good for the breakouts/ reliable. Jojo could be that guy but he has limited experience on D so he will have to step up for this Yotes team.


Boston Bruins


The Good News

Looking at the mgmt duo, we have Aali who has had quite the rollercoaster of an LG career mgmt and player wise. But, you have to respect him, no matter how much shit this guy gets or how bad of a season he has, he fights back and we heard he was successful on Xbox this past season. GoofyIndian, great guy but bro, you made a retirement post and a day later you're gm. In all seriousness congrats on the cup, happy to have you back.


How can you not start off the good news with the man himself, Dudnasty aka Norris Dud aka the dud dog. This guy was so excited to be a bruin he was counting down the hours, minutes and seconds in the shout box on bidding night. In all seriousness, Dud is actually a good bid and seems to be doing alright rn. Jensen is a dog no matter the ping (need those elite edges - Dex) and NHLBot is a threat. As Dud said, the big three in Boston will be in business. Frozy at 1.5 isn't bad, he also recently unlocked edges and was on the rangers playoff run and will supply enough gifs in the discord a long with duds emotes to have half the team mute the chat.


The Bad News

If we are keeping it 100, this team was born with an uphill battle with the management duo. Both great guys but they will have to fight as neither can carry a line. Spending all that cap on the big three hurt the depth big time and with 7 750k contracts, as well as assumingely having the big three on one line, a lot of 2/3-6/7 weeks are on the horizon for the Bruins this season.



Buffalo Sabres


The Good News

Waldo has proven to be a good owner and Smitty is one of the best linebackers LG PSN has to offer down the middle, especially with Hra heading to LD this szn. Baldo and KyleJ run a great line and are honestly sweaty, Kyle can break it out pretty well and is underrated in our opinion. Now, moving on to "The King" aka Tommy. The King at 9.75 honestly isn't bad because when you look at bidding, guys for 3-5 less can't even make half of tommy's impact. 10 mill is a lot but we feel for this team its worth it. Tommy can carry, Smitty can carry and Waldo can win games. Krofto in net is great and one of the best guys in LG.


The Bad News

Besides KyleJ and Dank, the D is suspect unless Waldo has some underrated dmen. Tommy will need to be with Dank or else it might get tough for The King to get breakouts on the left side.



Calgary Flames


The Good News

Calgary is ran by Theos and Akon (the fellow greek gods - Jay) and they are grinding. Theos seems he is on a mission and with Akon they will do some damage. Houle is a great player a long with Jxsse and the d core is very good with a mix of guys who can break it out and clamp. Cjx31 is also a god in net and will help win some games by himself.


The Bad News

As mentioned, Houle is a great player and was a lethal threat last szn on the wing eclipsing 50 goals with the Mondsy show on the other side. We feel he should be back on the wing instead of C. The wingers besides Theos and Jxsse are a bit of a question mark and will need to step up to help the big dogs if they want to hit their full potential in the sea of red.



Carolina Hurricanes


The Good News

The Canes have the best management duo in JClaus and Michael Moran down the middle. Both are big time players and the cream of the crop on C in LGPSN. Duster is a steal at 3mill and not only is he dog on the ice, but he's also a dog in the DM (hide your girl). The d core of Smurf, gerbe, archon and spors might be the best and will allow the offense to function to its potential. If Colbs repeats his run in Toronto he will be hard to beat in the crease.


The Bad News

Mike or Claus are going to have to carry on forward as duster can only be with one of them, unless Schlarchey repeats a beast of a season and the Mondsy Show arrives in Carolina running.



Chicago Blackhawks


The Good News

Jakey and Defty aren't the greatest talent at the mgmt duo, but they have heart. Langer is a buzzard on the wing and had a great run with us in New York.


The Bad News

This team has way too much heart and not enough skill. Could be a long season unless they pull a lot of chem.



Colorado Avalanche


The Good News

Toslick and Abail aren't the worst mgmt duo and slick is a dog in the War room for trades. Perry is a steal at his price and he has some ice in his veins in the big moments. We feel saindou is a solid two way dman in the league as well. Dex says Vanderheide is a good linebacker up front.


The Bad News

Any time you put 7 mill on an unproven top 6 F in LG coming off a big season as a third liner, you're playing with fire. In their defence, C pool in bidding was weak. Just not a lot of impact players on this team overall and a lot of money in places that will need to prove themselves. Overall, looking at the team, they spent 35 mill but its how its spent that will probably cause them trouble.



Columbus Blue Jackets


The Good News

GP3 and our good friend peanut butter man aka Elpha are back again and a solid mgmt duo. This team honestly has some solid contracts up front when you look at them compared to bidding as some are still dp's and the chem should still be strong with this team despite a disappointing end to the season. The d core is solid and will be fine.


The Bad News

This team is all about the right fits, but they will need Kuzy to be at his best as they made him the most expensive dman in the league. Up front, they dont necessarily have a stud top scorer so they will have to continue to score as a unit.



Dallas Stars


The Good News

Our friend Flocka and MikeyD as a mgmt duo is very solid. For a first time owner, Flocka had a solid bidding picking up some names like Droplex, swarko, wayzox and lidstrom up front, as well as having Westy for a great contract and looking like a steal compared to other players from bidding. He has another gear and we hope he can hit it this szn. Buckeyes is solid to add to this d core as well.


The Bad News

Flocka, Mikey and Buck are solid but the rest of the core will have to keep up and could hurt them a bit. Up front, the former MVP Swarko will need to bounce back from a tough season 18 and Lidstrom will have to live up to his contract.



Detroit Red Wings


The Good News

The Great Tyler Hayward stepping up to the owner plate and getting Heqld as his partner in crime honestly makes for not a bad duo. Hayward has found some old touch back down the middle on 22 and hopefully will replicate his former 70 point campaign in the motor city like he did back in S14. Vvipers and Nolan can play and be threats up front, while Heqld leads the d core. Cartzy is also a grinder and is looking for a big season.


The Bad News

Blind bidding Vipers for RW is tough to start off with, as now things will need to be shuffled around. Besides heqld, the d core might be in trouble this szn even though Phil and cryptic are capable d men.



Edmonton Oilers


The Good News

Bure got a GM in Lappy and both seem to be hungry for this season. Smitty is a good player and 6.5 m is pre fair for him as he can be a game breaker. Pheno is a dog and his contract is a steal. Crowe is a puck mover and will be leading the breakout well. We also heard there may be some unknown chem w this team and to stay tuned.


The Bad News

Despite the above chem comment, this team besides the obvious players could be in big trouble as especially on D, its not looking good. Could be a long season but we will see.



Florida Panthers


The Good News

Moti and Actiiz is a strong mgmt duo and are looking to create another great team but have a better outcome this season. Mxkar is a top forward for free basically with his Next Up teammate and the duo a long with Ak Sniper will have a solid forward line. Our boy Hedmxn at 6 is a solid contract and if he stays out of trouble at south beach, he's going to have a solid season ripping down the wing in the sunshine state. Deanoo is a top G and will be looking for another great szn.


The Bad News

We both feel that the forward core and G's are great, but the d core could struggle to break the puck out to this high octane offense which will cause some chain issues in Florida. Deanoo is also going to need to save some gas for the panthers and not always typing on the cord.



Los Angeles Kings


The Good News

Silent Trauma and the goat Gilly, not a bad management pair as you can see. Gilly is Gilly even if he's on RD, Trauma can hold his own on the point. The d core is pretty solid, with gilly, trauma, krish and brax. On forward, our good friends and former teammates Pags and Kazy are together, Jor and lazy are also good platers. Pags has scoring potential and is looking for his breakout campaign with a massive role in Hollywood.


The Bad News

Their big three up front will be given some tough tasks this season as they basically are the go to guys of the team up front to carry which is a huge jump of responsibility. The responsibly on these 3 forwards isn't fair, the rest of the forwards are third liners and it could be a long season for the Kings unless Pags or Jor carry a line up front on the wing without Kazy on C. Lazy will steal some games though as he is a beast (good news).



Montreal Canadiens


The Good News

The OG Hriiz is back and with a great GM in Basi. Nav and Hriiz will look to rekindle some timeless magic this season on south central with another OG in Jodach. Love 2 Rag, arguably the best winger on LG PSN fresh off a cup and what should be a Conn Smythe campaign, is looking to make his brother Nym proud for their home team in Montreal. South Central is going to be a friendly asset to this team in S19.


The Bad News

As mentioned, SC is this teams friend, but it could also be an enemy, as in if they dont use it to their advantage, some players won't be as effective which could be a problem.



Nashville Predators


The Good News

Memory and Brayden is a great mgmt duo and both are fresh off great seasons. Sah and Blong will look to use their skill in chem this season to do some damage with el Jefe OhhCrosby himself carrying the load on the blue line for the predators. Memory and his underrated duo Bombxss will also look to do more damage. The great CJ Snipes makes his return to LG and he can be a top dman as CJ is always a very smart player.


The Bad News

The only possible issues for this team are if memory and his line regress(doubtful), the third line isn't as good as last year or the d core has issues. In net they should be fine.



New Jersey Devils


The Good News

Gour is finally back after a long NML break with Douglas aka Ayo Doogs as his right hand man. Gour made some of the best teams in the past on PSN and he's been hungry to get back into action. BigSmeiz aka Luca didn't have the best szn but this is the type of team he can have the potential for a lot of success on as he will be comfortable with most of the guys. Lish is always solid as well and chyzz is back so we will see if he still has some touch. Ransom is also a sleeper.


The Bad News

Gour is solid but he will have to lead this d core as it is a bit suspicious. The forwards are solid but they will need to have some forwards bounce back and play to their potential for the best outcome.



New York Islanders


The Good News

Bishop and tropics, two great guys who are giving it their all. Pahwlish will always be a threat, Barkov is low-key solid and they got the former co mvp in herv. On D Geim looks to take a big leap in responsibility as the number one.


The Bad News

We reckon it could be a long year on the island.



New York Rangers



The Good News

Mxrazek and Rosemont are two guys who have good knowledge and will give it their all. Daoust is a great dman, Vinny aka Crosby is a threat, and Metro is also.


The Bad News

We dont understand why they basically reversed Daou and Crosby to 12 mill of cap for mxrazek and rose to be the free contracts. Obviously daou didn't want to manage but it just doesn't make sense for the competitiveness.



Ottawa Senators


The Good News

The season is only 9 weeks.


The Bad News

Its going to be a long 9 weeks unless you snag @KushNastyy for GM.



Philadelphia Flyers


The Good News

My man Cage is back in the mgmt seat and Joff is a great GM. The chem on this team doesn't get much more as the Stealth crew made it to Wells Fargo Centre in Philly. Saucy Lii is already looking at Philly cheesesteak sponsorships and MJ Benny is looking for a fake so he can use his 5 Mill. Dods is looking to play for his fav team IRL and make them proud this season. J-Yardy is the best contract in the league and a great guy as well. Jamaican Burger also is changing his name to PhillyCheeseSteak.


The Bad News

Besides the mgmt, Lii, Dods, yardy and Benny, the depth is really going to have to step up or this team will struggle to score.



Pittsburgh Penguins


The Good News

Andradek and EpicSKillzy team up in Pit for S19. EpicSkillzy is a solid player and looking to break is LG curse this season. MJ is one of the players in LG history who has a lot of luck on his tape, max is a scorer, and DC is looking to run the ship on D.


The Bad News

EpickSkillzy's playoff droubt probably continues.



San Jose Sharks


The Good News

The Great Catigory and Lehk team up in the tank as a solid duo. Brydxn at 5.75 is good for what he is capable of, Tdxbz when he isn't off the pen is a great dman and Jason is a good player. They also have Bruins who is solid up front. Lanslay our boy is also looking to fill the tank in San Jose.


The Bad News

This team may struggle to score outside of a couple players up front unless they hit their stride w chem.



Seattle Kraken


The Good News

B-REd got Bo Daddy Dangles to take his talents to Seattle and Bo will make an impact management wise and on the ice. Up front Manki, juice and goater are underrated. Bo and his good friend RG will be leading the d core in Seattle.


The Bad News

Not a lot of fire power up front and on D besides the main 2 and Eye not sure how it'll perform.



St. Louis Blues


The Good News

The PP Experience is back for round 2 and he has brought Camo a long for the ride. Unreals is one of the best dmen in the league and Adxm looks to lead the blues up front with top DP and drafts grinder Janeau Trudel. Demy will be solid in net but will have to be.


The Bad News

Could be a long year in St. Louis if this offense doesn't have their things in order because besides unreals, the d is a little sus as well.



Tampa Bay Lightning


The Good News

The Bolts have a veteran and good duo in MT and Eastons. Goostav has a lot of potential on D and for 4 mill its a good price, Oshlag is also a good dman. Romzy is grinding and he has been looking good in drafts recently. Hypey is making a return to the national after an Ahl stint w the old rangers organization. Overall, they have depth on forward and the d core is also solid.


The Bad News

We dont like the Titan contract and the forwards could struggle a bit, but they will probably get it done. Outside of Goos and Oshlag the D needs to prove their weight as well. But MT is a great mind and Eastons is as well, they'll be fine.



Toronto Maple Leafs


The Good News

Despite using an 82 speed build, ItsOVer4u gets it done in loffs and has shown he can be a good manager. Boughs joins him in the 6ix this season after a stint with Selke Sean. Morin is a good player on a solid contract and we also like Sharp and Jiibad on D.



The Bad News

Up front, it looks a little rough besides Boughs and Morin and on D opening Hra at 6 is questioning. They also have 2 unproven goalies but mgmt should get this team on track by playoffs.



Vancouver Canucks


The Good News

Kylo Reli is coming off an unreal season both individually and team wise, and has proven to be a top player in this league, as well as great manager. He brings a long Jakoo to replace Grindxr as the horse on D with partner Prodigy. Kylo will win with pretty much anyone up front but he has Reim with him this season which will allow for another season of points. Their second is pretty much the same w Patches, Bweiss, Gwanzie and they looked very good last season. Scredd is also a solid player and NHLBeast is back for another season.


The Bad News

Reim will have to prove his worth this season on a big contract and I hope Jakoo will fit with Relii and his line similar to how Grinder did. Gwanzie also needs to back up his little bit of an ego w another good campaign which there is a good chance of doing although Dex says Gwanzie did not have an inspiring experience in drafts recently with pucky walking him.



Vegas Golden Knights


The Good News

Kinger and Bwubz team up in Vegas and they are an underrated duo. Bwubz is very smart for his age and Kinger is as well, a long with experience. They got their good friend Toast on a great contract who will be sniping a lot of goalies this season the same way cuz he's so good at it, and bringing in Axen on D has a lot of potential. The man himself, Bo Knows leads the crew up front and will have another successful season under his belt. They also bring in good friend JustGiroux, who if is grinding the game, can be a great dman in this league and be a steal of a contract. Ostrich2face is also solid. The Bartlett brothers look to be solid again as well.


The Bad News

Up front, besides Bwubz, Bo and Toast, the Bartlett brothers need to be solid and there are a lot of unproven guys who need to step up. On D, Giroux has to grind and Axen has to show what he can be capable of. These 2 scenarios could offer the young team into a couple of issues this season.



Washington Capitals


The Good News

Papi Loops is back after becoming a cup champ with his GM Kov aka Terry. Loops always builds sweaty teams no matter if they're first or last. They bring in Kxv 97 who is honestly a good player and they also bring back Dxhlin the OG Loops team member. Their third will be solid again with Manzyz and Mattkinno had a great playoff run.


The Bad News

We dont like how Loops and Rag left off, because we feel not having Rag will hurt the caps. Kev is a great player but to assume he will slide in Rag's spot with how much familiarity Rag had with loops and the team is a far stretch. The language barrier is also relevant. The team will be sweaty but we think there could be a bumpier road this season for the defending champs.



Winnipeg Jets


The Good News

Sean is coming off a great season in Nashville and brings vet Briere in this season. Hoofoo is a great dman who will transition to forward, also a great guy. Sphyze and Hardie will look to buzz as well in the Peg this season. Briere leads the backend with our friend Chilly and Tibernac. Remzy is one of the best G's at a great price as well.



The Bad News

This offense could struggle to score this season as we feel some is missing. On D, the top 4 is solid but Coach has to prove he still has it.
