AHL call up rework.

Hi there, just a silly thread on to see what people's opinions are on ahl call ups. Im proposing this bec i dont think ahl call ups should be on their ahl contracts when getting sent up. PLEASE VOTE

 

i think call downs should get a % added as well

 

I think u should go outside imo.

 

I think the % going down is a neat idea, but I think just the overall concept of playing with contracts in general is just not practical.

In theory, everyone ends up where they should be and you are filling in spots with people who are performing better. What actually happens is that people slip through bidding for one reason or another and I don't think rewarding an NHL team for finding somebody better on their ahl team to poach is a good idea.

 

u cant call up players won in the AHL bidding unless your AHL mgmt agrees anyway.

 

This would be horrible. You would just have people signing up for AHL bidding and get called up knowing they will be cheaper this way

 

You cannot sign up late anymore. If a player is not signed up for NHL bidding the cannot play.

This isn't true unless it's different on PSN. The rule added last season was that the NHL team can't trade players won in AHL bidding without AHL mgmt permission. Callups are still fair game.

@OP, all making callups contracts go down would do is fuck over AHL teams even more than they used to get fucked over.

 

You really need to learn the difference in to and too.
