Top 10 Ahl Defencemen (My opinion)

I am gonna rank this based off of who has been the best recently this season & overall while explaining why i think the defender is where they are.

• 10) @ManbeastMARK (19-4-1 / 17pts / 0g / 17a)

Mark has had 2 very dominant Ahl seasons with the Canucks, i find it hard that he is not looked at more and credited for with being one of the best RDs in the west. His position as one of the key parts in the highly deadly Canucks defensive core makes him a top 10.

• 9) @ThumbLessBaldy (19-4-0 / 26pts / 10g / 16a)

Baldy has had a great season so far with the gulls. although the argument of a 4.5M contract with the Gulls is a bit high, being 1 point behind the top place team in their conference is a sure sign that it has paid off.

• 8) @ViLLvoN_10 (16-1-5 / 22pts / 4g / 18a)

Vill being this low is very bold of me, i know he is a stud of a dman and should most likely see some NHL action again in the future guaranteed. with career stats as good as his it makes him have to be on this list as well with the role of being one of their best defencemen on the roster.

• 7) @J77CTL9 (22-3-0 / 34pts / 3g / 31a)

J has had a DOMINANT rookie season as a defenceman with a 1.27ppg av. I put him so low because of the lack of experience in the A, although this guy is without a doubt in my mind having an amazing season with hershey.

• 6) @TwinsFans7 (21-3-1 / 25pts / 3g / 22a)

Twins is on the Canucks 2nd line (i believe sry if im wrong). Being one of the better defence on his team this season i think he has earned his spot this season on a top 10. His experience being really great in the A this season.

• 5) @xMids-_- (10-8-4 / 25pts / 5g / 20a)

Mids being 5th is questionable considering he has not had a great season, but i put him here because i think he is still amazing even starting this season on Coachella who was struggling a lot with him on their team. I think mids has amazing seasons in LG behind him and great playstyle & passing that puts him up here. and i know for sure that mids is gonna be a threat in playoffs.

• 4) @SomeoneStopMePls (15-3-4 / 30pts / 4g / 26a)

Putting a dman like StopMe this low shows the level of depth on D in the A this season. With the amount of Nhl seasons behind him it makes it tough to even put him down here this low. StopMe should be in the N and im kinda shocked how he is allowed to play in the A... these next 3 are perfect examples too.

• 3) @Grayyy 23 (9-8-1 / 28pts / 7g / 21a)

Obviously Greggy is on this list, the reason he is 3rd is because his season has been a whopping .500. now we know though that Greggy should be in the NHL as he is on Xbox, he is definitely up here and has had plenty to show with his previous teams that he has led and absolutely dominated with. Greggy has had the worst season in his Ahl psn career but will for sure pick it up in playoffs, as we have all seen playoff greggy and what he can do.

• 2) @NateJones-_- (19-3-3 / 26pts / 2g / 24a)

Nate is 2nd because he is in my opinion one of the best defencemen i know. he should be in the N 100% and having him in the A is terrifying. Nate won the Calder last season and has been hungry to get back into playoffs for another run. Nate should be at least top 3 as he has some the best ratings at his position.

• 1) @Hyperr x 27 (19-2-2 / 63pts / 1g (LETS GOOOO) / 62a)

Hyper has averaged almost 3 points per game. With him being basically a backpack for his team i think Hyper can really carry his team far in playoffs. I think Hyper at 1 is a no brainer as he has more points than most teams best forwards do, it is safe to say that this dude is a UNIT on the blue line. Not to mention Hyper came down from the N and has shown everyone how skilled he is with his points alone. This man is the best LD in the Ahl this season.

Mids being the most overrated D on the list hes nowhere near Vill nor J77 just because hes putting in points means hes good lol

Yeah thats why i can fully see the gap in between the 3 of them i even won a mem cup with mids, but theres a huge gap in the other 2 and mids and hes only there because he puts in points

It's funny that me saying that 2 guys that have proven to be better dmen caused that much drama. Ill say it again using points as a criterion for ranking dmen is a joke and half of people out there are there because of that criterion
