One of the recurring topics that comes up every so many seasons is "Season X's team was WAY better than Season Y's Stanley Cup winners from 4 years prior" (or something to similar effect). This got me thinking that there has to be a way to compare some of LG's greatest teams. So i compiled team stats from the site to attempt to do just that from all of LG's history. All these numbers can be found in the Standings pages of LG's site. Below is the complete raw compilation of the top 10, or bottom 10 teams in eight different major team statistical categories: Spoiler: NHL All Time Records HOWEVER, not every season had the same number of games played so some of the teams stats would be unfairly compared to another team that had greater or lesser limitations in their season. So below is the adjusted calculations for teams assuming that every team played 82 games in a season, like the NHL does today. Spoiler: NHL Adjusted Records *adjusted stats formula: (Stat/GP)*82 ** GP was also exported in a hidden sheet of the workbook to make the calculation work correctly.
