Trade Deadline Grades

Trade grades for all 32 teams for trades made between Feb 26th and March 10th. To avoid spending 12 years making this, I’m going to be skipping some trades. I hope you enjoy it! If you are upset about any of my opinions I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, I do not care.

The rest of the trade ends up being 3 TCs for jayy-77x or Bishop as most would know him as. Is getting Bishop going to be enough to contend?

I like what Gonzo has done to shake up his offense. I think it’s been a bit lackluster being the 2nd lowest of any playoff team. Is it enough to gallop their way to the finals?

I think adding a bunch of depth on F will help this team push for a playoff spot. I do think they should have tried to fix the D a bit more but overall a great deadline.

Some big moves at the deadline for Shorey and Mino. I wonder if this will put a strain on his relationship with PP, the world waits with bated breath. Getting Matteo is an upgrade on D but replacing Drac with PP seems like a downgrade. Both players were given their buddy lines and had limited success, maybe a mix and match is the trick?

While I don’t think Dix is anything special, replacing him with a 1 win C isn’t ideal. Losing Kuttn for a lesser LW also hurts and to top it off, Greek gets rid of his best LD. I’d argue the trade deadline wasn’t the best time to blow up the team. Looks like it will be lucky #7 for seasons in a row missing the playoffs.

Obviously there’s going to be some bias here as I’m on the team and know it better than any other team on this list. With that said, I like the new backup a lot, I’m not 100% sold that we got better everywhere else. We’ll see.

Coming off of a 4-0 week, LAV felt it was time to sell high on Kab, however he’d go on to have a 4-0 week with MIL. Poum didn’t show up for his games.

While Drad is an obvious upgrade over Shoot’s 4 wins, I can’t help but feel they didn’t move the needle anywhere else. With the Checkers having made big moves and gaining ground last week, is this enough to hold them off?

I see a LOT of moves here and it's genuinely hard to see the big picture here. 7 points back of a spot, these trades look like panic moves trying to string something together after a 5 win week. I don’t see them making it.

Obviously I don’t fully know what happened between management and Toews and McKenny but the return wasn’t enough. After a 3 win week, the Americans have to contend with the fact that Toews and McKenny might steal their playoff spot. That’s a tough look.
