I'm going to give you some constructive feedback here. If you really want to manage in the AHL, start out in the CHL. The league staff does a pretty good job of telling players when it's time for them to move up to the next level. Build some strong CHL rosters and work on your own game. If you do everything right in the CHL, they will tell you when it is time to go up to the AHL. That's how you enter the AHL as a manager with the respect and tools you need to be taken seriously. I'm not saying it's impossible for you to succeed in the AHL as a manager. However, if you come in unprepared and the season is a complete disaster then you might end up on NML and forfeit any chance you have of doing it the right way. Best of luck to you with whatever you decide, but I hope you at least take this into consideration.
