Hello everyone, since the Sabres absolutely packed it in and missed playoffs I figured I would try media for the first time. Get ready for this to be absolutely abysmal. (1) New York Islanders vs. (8) Toronto Maple Leafs @I MT98 I and the Presidents Trophy winning Islanders are in my opinion also the favorite to win the Cup right now. Their top 6 forwards and top 4 defensemen (you know who they are) are all very good if not great players. That being said, I could see the Leafs maybe taking a couple games from them this series from the Isles 3rd line. In the end though, the amount of firepower the top two lines of the Isles have will be too much for Toronto, but don't expect them to go down as easily as some people might think. Prediction: Islanders in 5 (2) Ottawa Senators vs. (7) New York Rangers Give Slick credit where it's due, he's built a seemingly solid squad in the Nations Capital. To be honest I think they may have overachieved a bit in the regular season, so I'm not 100% on board with them. For the Rangers, I just don't think they're very deep at all. They have VERY thin defense with the exception of @Daoustttt_12 . They have some talented forwards up front, but they don't really have great center depth, which worries me. I think @GoNicsGo95 can single handedly steal a game or four on his own, which should worry the Rangers. Even though it seems like I'm bashing the Rangers, I still think this will be a close series. Both teams have their holes for sure, but I have to go with Ottawa. Prediction: Senators in 7 (3) New Jersey Devils vs. (6) Washington Capitals @Memzyy72 is back in the dance once again looking for a better fate than last season after I had to try to put him and @Bombxass on my back to win the series. Obviously they couldn't pull any of their weight and we got bounced in the 1st round. Jokes aside, the Devils are a very solid team, with three very good lines, 2 fantastic defensemen in @Sevy x 23 & @Sahzyyy , and a decent 1A/1B goalie tandem in @Albxrt92 and @DandG915 . (Let's all hope Albxrt doesn't relapse into his Red Wing/Sabre stint). Now for the Capitals, I'm not sure what happened in the past two-three weeks but they kind of went into a downward spiral and went from President Trophy favorites to only being on top of the playoff line by a few points. That being said I think they're better than what they've showed as of late. Obviously they have great forwards like @Tdxbz- and @Mxkar- , along with 3 or 4 others, two very solid dmen in @xGenzy-_- and @Hyperzov , and a fantastic rookie goalie @VeZ-41 . It's unfortunate for the Caps to run into such a well rounded team in the first round, because I really like their team, but I do have to go with the Devs. Prediction: Devils in 6 (4) Carolina Hurricanes vs. (5) Montreal Canadiens Wow @bwubzz , you have built a very deep Hurricane team my friend. I really don't think there is a weak spot on your team. Three lines that potentially could beat any line on the Habs if they're on their game, and two elite goaltenders in @lmDeanoo- & @Kalecii . Now, the Habs obviously have their McDavid and Draisaitl in @MaGiK x96x and @McFleuryyy , but after them two and @xMaltooz- , I don't really love their team. I think they could be solid enough to *maybe* pull off an upset, but I just don't see it. The only trouble I see the Canes having is against the 1st line of the Habs. The forward depth, defense, and goaltending of the Canes clears the Habs' quite easily in my opinion. btw @ltssCJ ur a snake Prediction: Hurricanes in 6 Thanks for reading whatever that was, goodluck to everyone in the playoffs!
