This game has become unplayable for around 20-30% of the player base because of the issues with AT&T. Every team is already struggling this week because of Thanksgiving and now we are dealing with this. I have guys who are doing everything they can to play and can't and it is no fault of their own, it is totally unfair to the managers and to the players being forced to miss their games. @LG McDonald we need a week to get this right, EA has an issue that is making the game unplayable and it is hurting the quality of the league.
As much as we normally disagree its hard for me to argue against ur logic on this. Having said that, I'd like to see you include a solution in this thread as well. What if the issue lasts another 2-3 weeks? Like you said, its effecting maybe 25% of the player base, is it worth missing out on 100% of our games for a week... maybe 2 weeks.. maybe longer just to appease the 25%? I think this is why we have ECU's to begin with. Situation sucks for sure but LG is run on an extremely tight schedule as it is and when I signed up I agreed to set times/dates, I'd rather not be forced to playing on days/times I didn't sign up for when agreeing to LG's terms. I still think u are right in the sense that its BS but to essentially cancel LG is not exactly a feasible option either.
It solved it one time. Because the latest roster was not “active”. After that it was no help ever again.
Full disclaimer, this issue has directly impacted me. That said, the amount of ECU and FF requests has been nothing short of insane. A week off to give this a chance to be resolved, coupled with American Thanksgiving just makes sense here.
we are talking about EA SPORTS and AT&T... it will be February before either of them looks into the problem. The easiest way around this is to set up a hotspot on your phone connect with your pc and bridge over to your xbox for better connection. Its not ideal but at least you will be able to play.
I don’t think you can postpone the whole season for this but I do feel lenience on pens/ff with potential reschedules should be more of an option. Almost seems like it’s based on peak times there tends to be more issues
Already prepping my team that I can't get on between like 8pm and 10pm. Also preparing to stream the loading screen to error simulator just incase. Should be fun.
From my understanding of the Battlefield 2042/NHL 23 issue that happened in July, the problem is with EA's server getting confused when the main host server(s) is/are full (peak times). When that happens people need to be rerouted to the other server(s). No problem typically, but AT&T traffic is being rerouted to the already full server so it will either take a very long time to load, or in the majority of cases, it will time out. Like the issue with Battlefield 2042 and NHL 23, EA has been overtly placing the blame on AT&T. AT&T denied any responsibility, and eventually EA quietly fixed their problem. That was a 4 month ordeal for Battlefield 2042/NHL 23. If the issue is the same, and I believe it is, then it is a very simple fix that would not take long to accomplish. If it isn't then AT&T users are basically glorified ECU swaps for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs. Regardless, we should have an ETA on the fix by next week, so that's why giving this week a push makes a ton of sense.
Maybe kind of? "We're still investigating this issue and will provide an update when we have some news."
