Ugh...reload I think is by far their worst album. Only two songs I really care for on that album is Devils Dance and Memory Remains. Also I do really like AJFA. It is just not up to standards as most of their other work. One is my favorite Metallica song and To Live is to Die is absolutely amazing. Overall I think it is just a little repetitive.
MP - then you're not a metallica fan - Reloaded is FAR from their best album. Their early stuff is amazing. Regarding Napster - they weren't the only one's who cared about it - they were just the only ones who had the balls to say something. If you were producing something that someone STOLE, be it a song, a book, or a chair, wouldn't you be pissed about it? How can you begrudge an artist who complains about people stealing shit over the internet? I download music like a fiend, but at least I recognize that I'm stealing! How can you seriously put down a band that complains about you stealing music that cost them millions to produce?

I used to download music but have come to the conclusion that if I like a band enough then they deserve my $15. Call me stupid but it only feels like the right thing to do.

Yea, I don't dl anymore....I actually just bought 2 CD's today offline from Barnes and Noble....G-Unit and Obie Trice....I still will burn CD's, but I don't dl them nemore.
If people were getting my music for free, and I was a famous band such as Metallica, I would fight for every penny. There's soo much money to be made...don't tell me you would not care... The Half Time Show? Sucked, I like to actually hear the WHOLE DAMN SONG. Not one verse. And Yes, Metallica needs to do next years. I have been listening to Metallica forever. I'm tired of lip sinking. I think even Toby Keith was lip sinking, am I wrong? I couldn't tell. About the Peep show, pretty bad. You can't see full "nipplage" so therefore it's not technically nudity but pretty embarassing. I'd be ashamed. Janet is pretty good looking, but I'm just not into that. Like Tris, I keep thinking Michael Jackson and just want to vomit.
Yup agreed, i never understood why the land of the free is so hard on nudity, yet for some reason the porn industry lives in LA, and makes more money then the main-stream movie industry. I think the only difference about nudity and porn between america and europe is, the eupopeans admit they watch/like it which makes it more acceptible to them

MP - agreed. LOTS of people are jacking CD's off IRC. I may switch to this completely as I don't want a lawsuit lobbied against me by a music company. Metallica didn't screw themselves by mentioning this, the ENTIRE music industry has been hit hard by file sharing as I've seen many music stores go out of business here in LA, but I think that the music industry has deserved this as their product has always been WAY overpriced for years and there are FEW albums that are truly worth their pricetag.
If you stick to stores like Best Buy and Target there is great selection and the prices are alot lower than the chain music stores. You can get most cds for 8-12$ a piece unless their a double disc.
Tris - Very good post. Europeans can just admit that sexuality is a part of human nature and they embrace it. I have no problem/embarrassment whatsoever with the porn industry. Human sexuality is something that should be embraced, not reviled. America is held hostage by the bible belt and their fear of sexuality, yet they cheer every DIE HARD and TOP GUN that's released. It's truly ass backwards. We like to label ourselves the land of the free, but often it's the "land of the free that agrees with the bible belt". We in this country like to think of ourselves as enlightened, yet I don't see Columbine-type massacres happening in Italy (or France, or Spain, or England, or Belgium, or Germany, or Norway, or Denmark, or Sweden, or Luxembourg, or Switzerland, or Latvia, or Turkey, etc...) - where violence in the media is frowned upon, yet sexuality is given free reign. It's a sad situation that is fortunately changing with time.
Definitely agreed there, I am not gonna pay 15 bucks for one or two decent songs that most of these bands come out with, when I can just click a button and wait about an hour or so and get them all.
